If this isn't classed as cheating, then its certainly an exploit, hence why Dice are patching it so you can't fly on MAV's.
Either way this seems like semantics to me, although I'll never understand the mentality of alot of online players, I can't see how anyone could consider this 'fair play'.
You are doing something you are not meant to be doing to gain an unfair advantage over people playing 'properly'. I'm sure its great fun for those using this exploit to sit in relative safety sniping at people below but like most cheats, glitches and exploits that fun is at the expense of someone else.

I argued that as MAV jockeys are still within the confines of the map ( ten second kill boxes are the boundary) and that you can still shoot the MAV jockeys, the only advantage they gain is a moment of suprise. The same as if I parachute onto an otherwise inaccessible rooftop. The only important thing now is whether this was a design decision, which it clearly was not and is thus being rectified. Just as the USAS frag rounds are, and the front grip and silencer kill machines are. These things are not cheating to me, that is my opinion. They are not within the spirit of fair play, but are not cheating.
Just because its not a major greivance doesn't make it any less of a cheat.

Yeah, it's an exploit. Nothing that a few Mortar rounds can't sort out. As there seems to be an invisbal blocking you from shooting them sometimes.
It happens on all maps now. Golf of Oman is one of the worst for it. Or are the parachuting in to get to those high buildings?
sometimes they parachute, sometimes the MAV elevate, worst maps tend to be Sharqi, Oman and Karkand from my observences. and i wont lie, ive done it myself and while amusing it only helps your score and not the team.
but it is funny mortoring the snipers. blowing up the sides of the buildings so they fall to the deaths or my personal faveourite, catching them in the act and destroying their mav while they are 50ft up in the air
and mav kills. mav kills on exploit snipers seem fair to me, fight an exploit with an exploit lol.....

By your own definition Reaps it is cheating, so you're contradicting yourself tbh.
Being on top of a flyover (Tehran) you're not meant to be on so you can lean over the side and snipe people with a massive advantage is quite clearly unfair.
If it didn't offer these people an unfair advantage then they wouldn't be doing it - plain and simple
This is clearly not the same as climbing up a far off hill.
MAV kills are legitimate however as there are specific tags for it, they are patching the MAV so any roadkills with it destroy the MAV as well as the soldier and that is in response to community requests and not because it is an exploit. There is a difference.........
