NEW Free DLC (((Battlefield 1943 rifle M1))) I think but have not tried yet

Are you experienced in the Battlefield? Have you earned the right to be called a Battlefield Veteran? If so apply for Veteran status now on the Battlefield: Bad Company 2 website. If you're accepted you'll receive the exclusive classic Battlefield 1943 rifle M1 (not available for ranking up in the game), as well as early access to in-game unlocks.

It's not new it was "fixed" with the patch release it's part of the 1943 unlocks trend they have in BC you will still get shot real easy.

Shame it doesn't work, it asks you to link your PSN and when you do it says "That name is aleady taken."

Like it says on the link you posted, the Veteran site is being updated.

When it finally goes live, log in with your credentials and it will check against your PSN/Gamertag for previous Battlefield games you have played.

I have played Bad Company, Heroes, 1943 and Bad Company 2 but it only registered a Veteran rank of 1 on the site and nothing in-game on BC2 (only showed BC1 and Heroes on the site).

Hopefully the update will fix those problems.

Same for me, but I'm pretty sure I have already linked my account. Have you?

Yeah my account is linked, I had this problem with Fifa 10 for using the game face feature. I tried for weeks to get it to link and nothing, all of a sudden I was able to do it.

Maybe contacting EA about this would solve it. I know people in the past who had the same problems and they emailed them and EA were able to sort it for them.

I have the same problem as you two* above. I tried again today but still got that 'This username is already taken' message.

*Sorry, that sounds rude to refer to you as 'you two' but I forgot your PSN I.D's. =(

:smileysurprised:! Its a quality gun. I'd never used it before in a Battlefield game (1943), but I loved it in CoD 3 and World at War. Has to be my all time favourite WWII gun.

That's OK! :smileyhappy:

I think it probably just means that the PSN ID that we are entering is already linked to an account, i.e. the same one we are trying to link it to again.

I expect that it can't tell that you are trying to link it again.

If the Veteran site goes live and it still doesn't work, then I'll be concerned.
