Re: ''NEW GAME SERVER UPDATE'' - From battlelog

The bugs that did arise were from things not being directly changed, they changed so much that unforeseen errors happen that testing may not reveal. These bugs didn't become apparent immediately after the patch and that's will between 70,000 and 90,000 (per platform) people playing. Took a few days for bugs to be known about so scale that down hundreds of times.

Look at the list for the server side update then look at the list for the client update. Patches sometimes change other things they weren't supposed to but not many things became bugged after the patch, in consideration of how much changed.

As for shifting the focus to your post a lot of the time the stuff you post is wrong to begin with.

Don't mean any offence :Peace:

Pegi 16 springs to mind, and when somebody suggested games will become download only in a thread about the patch size there was so much waffle from you about how Sony were closed minded when it came to the future and what not I wrote an essay  and when Mike was asking about the removal of the minimap

Good job I'm not a teacher or my red pen will have run out :smileysad:

Don't mean any offence:Peace:   Too late.

Pegi 16 springs to mind.  It was supposed to be an 18 game, and is what it was initially advertised to be in all the blogs and blurbs leading up to release. Admittedly when I bought mine I never really looked at the cover, I was too interested in what was inside.

when somebody suggested games will become download only in a thread about the patch size there was so much waffle from you about how Sony were closed minded when it came to the future and what not I wrote an essay   I was expressing myself, what were not allowed to do that now? or is it only OK if it is YOU that states something. and as the PS3's were still being made then they could have been up-graded inside with more RAM, better / larger HDD's etc and have the price adjusted accordingly, just like we do with PC's.

Personally I would not mind paying more for a PS3 with a bigger HDD, double or even quadruple the RAM in order to enjoy my games more and generally enhance the performance of the PS3. Making the PS3 up-grade-able would have been a good move.

when Mike was asking about the removal of the mini map    I honestly thought that there was a way of turning the Mini map off, and thought I had missed a setting or option in the menus, but yet again you found fault with that. Shame as it was an honest question from my point.

The PS3's HDD is easily upgraded why waste money buying another system. :smileyindifferent:

Just done a second upgrade from 40GB to 320GB and now 1TB with this badboy. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-Internal-Drive-Compatible-Playstation/dp/B0053YLTBC/ref=sr_1_2?s=com...

Re: ''NEW GAME SERVER UPDATE'' - From battlelog

Hi mont348

I just looked at that link you put in, and that HDD looks great, and reasonably priced too. However, is there a reason that your using a 5400 rpm drive? does the PS3 not utilise a 7400 rpm drive, or faster?

I ask as I am in between thoughts right now about changing the drive for bigger, but if I do then I might as well go for faster too if it is compatible.

PS it's a pity we can't add / change the RAM too.

Many Thanks

Re: ''NEW GAME SERVER UPDATE'' - From battlelog

its 7200RPM not 7400 :smileywink: and there isn't much of a speed difference between the two when put in a PS3 so you may as well get a 5400RPM one.

You could also get an SSD to put in the PS3 if you want speed, they've sped up loading times by up to 30 seconds in some cases vs a normal hard drive.
