Hi mont348

I just looked at that link you put in, and that HDD looks great, and reasonably priced too. However, is there a reason that your using a 5400 rpm drive? does the PS3 not utilise a 7400 rpm drive, or faster?

I ask as I am in between thoughts right now about changing the drive for bigger, but if I do then I might as well go for faster too if it is compatible.

PS it's a pity we can't add / change the RAM too.

Many Thanks

5400 rpm is the speed of drives that PS3's are shipped with some say 7200 rpm drives can make the PS3 run hotter.

1TB drives have only become compatible with the PS3 within the last 12 months because of the thickness of the drive's coming down in size from 12.5mm to 9mm.
