Why wouldnt battlefield vets like it? Other than the stupid USAS problem of course.

Why metro sucks....
First off metro could have been a good BF map with close combat areas but DICE decided to go the easy route.
Overall metro feels like DICE just decided on two lanes of traffic with it all meeting at one point.
End result is a map where bad players can do well.
Your forced into one point and always that point
Only one flank route and even that can be cut off.
I dislike metro because of the limited flank routes and overall amount of nade spam > >
Metro could have had vehicles and been quite decent.
Having to fight over 3 sets of metro stations with train lines being flank routes.
That just underground on top it could have been 3 sets of buildings which lead into the flags or the flag on the middle floor.
Loads of ways they could have done it.......
What DICE went for was linear in order to keep action :/
I understand that DICE wanted more people to enjoy BF but how they did it was just lazy and with no imagination.
If you don't understand why metro is a bad map your a bad player. It does make for a change of pace but just being lazy about doing it.

Grand Bazaar falls into the same ''Just as crap as Metro'' for me also. It's another Nade/Rocket/Frag round spamming fest at flag B.
Damavand Peak on CQ is pretty much the same, although it's the vehicals that saves it. It's kinda like what Metro should have been. Even though, it pretty much has the same ''2 tunnels'' layout.
Least favourite maps for CQ that all share the same qualities.

Not sure if people know this but on PC grand bazaar has 5 flags
And it works
You don't get the linear mess that is 3 flags.
Whoever designed grand bazaar should have added a series of flank routes around B if they wanted to keep 3 flags.
I don't understand why DICE never gave us 5 flags on grand bazaar it would have played quite well with 24 players.
It one of the maps where DICE got the map design right but number of flags wrong.
Damavand peak is another map which DICE lacked imagination. Rush version of that map i like....mainly due to opening up the map so much.
Damavand peak should have been two bases on a peak with a tunnel connecting them or a series of roads. In order to get close to the other base you need to take flags along said road.
Then have a series of urban buildings breaking up the map.
The tunnel also has a flag in it which if you don't have means you can direct flank to certain locations.
BF3 to me looks like DICE wanted a urban feel to BF3 but stuck with urban and failed to balance it out.
Maybe i should apply for a job at DICE

Ive always thought Grand Bazaar could be a good map if there were better destruction (Like BC2). Its hard to do anything when people start camping in and around where B is.
It would be great if you could start blowing holes in walls with C4 and start attacking the flag from other directions.
