New weapon damage charts

Are Here

Credit to Symthic for his work with the data extraction based on official DICE data.  The charts are a work in progress but give an insight into exactly what DICE did to our guns in that latest patch.

I was surprised by the recoil buff to the AN94 making it as awesome as my previous fave the AK74M.   I can also see why I like the AS-VAL so much (14 Service Stars ) the first shot recoil multiplier on the AS-VAL is now 0.5 > meaning that the first bullet from the gun recoils only half as much as the second and subsequent rounds - so thats why its easy to burst fire.

The main revelation here for me was the M39EMR semi auto sniper having an increased rate of fire - which makes it unique.  I was using it today and it DOES feel better but I didn't quite know why.  I'd recommend anyone who normally hates the recon class to give it a go now that the guns have been buffed.

The SKS has also received a lot of love from team DICE,  check it out.

Im suprised how much they improved the SKS, that gun was already good. I just use it with a red dot, its great at close range.

SKS foregrip, flash supperssor and iron sights FTW sometimes use the PKA 3.4 scope or red dot sight.

Re: New weapon damage charts

Stupid question, I'm assuming the red and green arrows show the difference in values since the patch.

Started using the Val again last night, still unsure about it.  I keep forgetting to burst fire and going full auto isn't a great idea.  Hoping it will be a bit better when I've unlocked the extended mag

Yeah red arrows are something that was nerfed, green arrows were buffed. Really takes some self control tapping short bursts from the AS-VAL but the first bullet only has half normal recoil, so the first 2 bullets are always going to hit, and it only takes a maximum 6 shots to kill at any range - like an AR. I loves it I does its my precious.

*edit, yeah the extended mag is a must for me and the RDS or ACOG.

I started using the SKS just before the patch, and noticed the difference in it. Its pretty good even in mid to close range now. At close range you will be dominated, But if you can aim for upper chest to head, you can survive.

Re: New weapon damage charts

Just so its clear for anyone who didn't read it before - The AS VAL is awesome after the patch !! No other gun has ever been AS VALuable AS the AS VAL. I reckon its the best gun for all rounders covering long, short & mid range with exceptional performance. I know there are better guns for each scenario, but the jack of all trades weapon for a true connoisseur who likes to be ready for anything is the AS VAL.

Lets summarise, it starts with a 0.0 cone of fire (standing still aimed) same as a sniper rifle. It does the same damage at long range as an assault rifle (6 shot kill). It fires at 900 rpm ( almost FAMAS speed ). The 0.5 first shot multiplier means if you point the gun at a wall and select single shot firing mode, then tap fire 6 single shots, most will go through the same bullet hole. Yes, its THAT accurate !!

The only decision you need to make on full automatic is how long to burst. I typically send about five rounds each time at the target and i've found it very effective. The 1 simple rule is the further they are away, the shorter the burst, leading to single shots at sniper range or fully automatic spray at shotgun range.

If anyone else has a recommendation for certain weapons, add it and let us know why you like it or why it suits your playing style :smileyhappy:
