Cloud its not rocket science..... Its aviation physics :smileytongue:

But anyways.

Pilot weapons are the same as Tanks. R1 active upgrade, L1 weapon fire, triangle change to secondary weapon and vice versa then one passive upgrade that has no controls.

Gunner seats in Attack choppers are the same as gunners seats in Tanks except with the addition of L1 for flares or optics but not ECM which is a pilot upgrade only.

R3 pitch and roll. Pitch is the angle along the axis and roll is across the axis of the chopper roll will need a bit of extra throttle to maintain altitude. L3 for yaw which is around your axis.

You see where it says gunner view? The little square moves to indicated were the gunners gun is aimed at.

On the pitch ladder 0° is level and indicates the horizon, that's the only part of that bit that works. I've gone up high and put the nose to 90° nose down but the HUD only goes to 45° Should go in level flight pulling up from 0 to 90 then back down 0 (at which point your now upside down :smileyvery-happy:)  then 90 down (looking straight at the ground) and back level at 0 :smileyvery-happy:

The little box on the right near the horizon is either altitude or your height indicator. Not sure which as I haven't checked but I think its height.

One working feature but not that useful unless everybody your talking to knows the maps bearings. The numbers at the top indicate your bearing "00" is due north, "090" east, "180" due south and "270" west.

Stop whining about the stinger and just use the laser guided weapons or fly your self. *hmph*

One thing the patch fixed is using Mortars from your spawn area, which I never seen as a problem anyway, as it was just as easy to kill that person...But now its an absolute flaw when trying to actually fight your way out of a spawn camping scenario, which happens very often now on almost every map.

Just had a game were we got spawn camped on Seine Crossing, Our entire spawn area was being spammed by Mortar rounds & a tank...There wasn't anything you could do...No line of defence....We couldn't even move out of the area..

I'm still getting stuck on railings to.... This time next year, I reckon this game will be finished.

Re: Patch is live, V1.04 1080mb

Thanks for the explanation :smileyhappy:

Must say I'm getting a bit bored at being put in a team of retards. In sick of running all over the place capturing flags, getting kills....where the rest of my team go 2-10 and capture one flag the entire game preferring to spend their game time hanging around a spawn or doing a dance. Why don't people like those just go and play scrabble? :smileysad:

And I can use laser guided weapons or soflam as I'm quite literally NEVER in a team that uses it (see above)

An I unlocked the QBZ for getting rocket kills :smileyhappy:

Re: Patch is live, V1.04 1080mb

@ Mr I, useful stuff that thanks. I've been spending a lot of time in the choppers lately, I only learned today about the 'I' bar / flight path indicator for my viper rockets, was wondering why I never hit anything beforehand, now i'm absolutely lethal. Previously I just aimed the crosshair and hoped for the best. lol.
Yeah that little box on the right of the HUD is altitude, it goes red when you're below 25 metres and protected by the 'below radar' lock on prevention. I think its in metres, its definitely the same unit of measurement as distance to a flag in conquest. I tested it by hovering to 25 above a flag and could also see my in-game distance to the flag was also 25.

I didn't realise about the roll indicator. Doesn't make anydifference but nice to know it works unlock all the other stuff in the cockpit and the HDD same in jets :smileysad:

Don't think it is altitude. Going to get really pedantic on this now  I think its height :smileytongue: Altitude is height above sea level and height is height above the stuff directly below you :smileytongue:

:smileyhappy: No problems, its not pedantic its useful. I admit i'm still learning and appreciate the help. Its an important distinction, I wonder if below radar would work if I hover 25 M above a building? or would it have to be a mountain etc.

Everybody has to start from somewhere, can't all be leet like you. :smileytongue: I was one of those crappy players that struggled to do much of anything. I admitted that in this forum some time ago I was struggling quite badly. Randy and Mr. Inc were kind enough to let me add them and play with them so initially I just followed them around on the maps and learned their playing styles.

I improved a lot and all of my stats pretty much soared ever since. What I'm trying to say is, help your squad/team out. Don't just go lone wolf as an engineer. Move around with your squad and play the situation with the right class. I know babysitting might not be cool but if guys are being killed a lot, deploy as medic and heal/revive.. if they're managing ok you can go with engineer or support.

Last week I had a couple of low-ranked players in my squad. One of them clearly wanted to learn tanks so I went gunner and stayed with him the full round. Did a lot of repairs and killed everybody that got close to the tank while he did what he could even though he drove into every obstacle heh. We only lost the tank twice over 25 minutes which I though was not bad. At the end of the round he sent me a message to say thanks. :smileyhappy:
