So there's some new soldier & weapon camouflage out on the 9th for premium members.  

I think they've been fairly pointless and inconsequential to the gameplay so far personally,  I wonder what we'll get.  I wouldn't mind if the Recon class got a ghille suit maybe sand coloured for the desert maps,  but I doubt it,  they'd probably have to re-model the character completely. 

Some new vehicle paint would be better,  like a nice rainbow design for my tank  

Do you think the camouflage actually makes a difference in BF3?  I seem to be too dazzled by the sun or tac lights mostly to notice what people are wearing.  Perhaps its just 'content' for the sake of it to fatten up the premium pack?.  I think i'd rather get a new gun.

You can tell the teenagers into heavy metal a mile off. Head to toe in black doesn't work on some maps.

I don't even notice people with different skins really. Even the guns, I haven't unlocked any new skins apart from that blue one? For the F2000 or something, which looks a bit lame, plus it was unlocked right away.

It's easier to spot someone in the desert with a blue gun though. I really don't see how black or any other skins make you stand out that much. But I do wear glasses, so my eyesight is fail.

i agree the gun camo is more of a content filler than something usefull,i dont know why they are limited to certain guns though,i wanna use them on my beloved g3a3...

as for the camo,i believe they do make a difference, if you pick the right one for certain maps,it can make it difficult for people to notice you at longer range or if your standing infront of an object with the same colour,as pointed out wearing all black in a desert environment isnt going to do you any favours and increase how often you are spotted,particularly by snipers..

The camo is useless, that orange triangle above your head is a dead giveaway.

Yeah, the orange dot/ name tag is a killer.  Cameos would work better in Hardcore.

Maybe there should be a multiplier that can extend or reduce the amount of time the triangle appears based on the camo you are wearing?

Black camo on a night map? Your as stealthy as a ninjas fart, hardly any triangle love... Same camo on a daytime desert map, your going to have an orange triangle skull humping you for at least a minute

But then that would only work if you could change camo mid game...

i wouldn't mind seeing something like that added,the black spec ops camo reduces your thermal signature,so the game mechanic for camo perks is already there,so is the reduced spotted duration in the form of the stealth upgrade for vehicle's so its certainly doable..  

having say a 50% reduction in the time your spotted on the enemy radar would come in handy. (particularly for snipers) i cant see anyone complain about it being op either. *make it so dice*

yeah theres a couple of new desert camo's for the usa and a couple of new woodland camo's for the russians..

theres also some new gun assignments for the f2000/pkp pechen/L96/scar h,the assignments are get xx headshots/kills etc,theres also a new assignments called "only for the dedicated" where you need to get 500 kills with each class (think recon was 300) 

completion of each assignment unlocks new gun camo...
