The Wednesday Event

Welcome back to another Battlefield 3 Wednesday Event Spectacular.

You can tell your parents that our parents say it's ok for you to turn up!

Bit different this week.  We have been given a loan of EA_ActionMan's custom server for the evening and I'm wanting to give it a shot, see how it works for y'all.

Here's what you're gonna need to know:

Server Name: '@EA_ActionMan Community Server'

Date: 16th May

Time: 8pm BST

Password: forumfun

Now this server is always up and running and at the moment it's just ActionMan and Vissy who are admind and you know we're not gonna kick you out when you shoot our helicopter out of the sky so come on in!  Search for the server by it's name and add it to your favourites, use it whenever.

Bear in mind though that before 8pm on Wednesday we're most likely gonna kick you all out and add the password, but you're welcome to come back in!

We're keeping it simple for this first time, no DLC or funny options (apart from those AM already set).

I may also have a little something to giveaway as long as the results of the games appear on Battlelog!

The Wednesday Event

So the theme song for Battlefield 3 goes as we know from all the trailers and whatnot.  This is the second time Battlefield has been featured in the Wednesday event (after 1943, run by fski a couple of months ago).

It's not quite there yet, you can launch into a game with 4 players in a squad and re-arrange yourselves in-game when you all get split up.  Plus there's Jason_Halls method of climbing into an empty server which I just might utilise, so here it is:

Select Multiplayer - Server Browser - Search
 
Type in DICE
 
Then go to the last page where most of the servers are empty (0/24) select one
 
eg: -(DICE)- Normal Server 399
 
(there are two types of servers Infantry and Normal. Infantry has no vehicles)
 
Post this on the forums then everyone on the forums, 24 in total can play against each other.
 
Just ask for them to have the OPC clan tag so we know they are off here.

Tried to PM Yaster this but would not let me.

So then, in this experimental Wednesday Event, I am going to need you all to be checking this thread, the OPC Platoon feed and my twitter feed for details on the server name before we all pile in there.

If you can all get in at 8pm then we should hopefully have as many OPC people in there as we can.
