Why carn't Dice figure out reloading?

I love BFBC2 and BFBC and even BF2MC but the thing is in all of these games the reloading animation is wrong (BC and MC2 both ***** the weapon everytime you reload and BC2 never ***** the weapon at all, except on the M16 for some reason.)

Now I'm not complaining or anything but does anyone else find it strange how a company that makes one of the most popular FPS franchises doesn't know the basics of how a gun works? i mean surely they must know, its like they're purposfully getting it wrong everytime or something. Anyway like i said i'm not complaining and i know its not that important it's just been niggling me for a while now.

Are you saying that the game doesn't c-o-c-k (grrr filter) the weapon when you reload? Because I've always thought it does, especially with sniper rifles and pistols...

Re: Why carn't Dice figure out reloading?

some examples would have been good, so we could spot what your on about.

You forgot the obvious thing of when you change magazine before your current 1 is finished you should end up with 1 more round due to there being 1 in the chamber still.

Yes i am trying to say  c.o.c.k.

Sorry forgot to mention i'm talking about assault rifle's and smg's here.

If you're not following what i'm talking about here then play some CoD as that has the correct reloading animations (and no i'm not a cod fanboy saying BF should be more like cod.)

Pretty much every other FPS with real guns gets these animations right so i'm just wondering why none of the BF games does?

@StuR328 yes technically there should be an extra round in the chamber but the only other game i've seen that on is R6V2 so i don't think many games are going to go into that much detail.

I get what you mean.

if you don't empty the clip you don't need to re c-o-c-k the gun. but in bad company you do.

Re: Why carn't Dice figure out reloading?

It doesn't because you don't need to, there is still a bullet in the chamber. C-ocking a weapon loads a bullet into the chamber ready to fire.

Empty an entire mag, then reload. You will see then :smileywink:
Its the same on every game.

Pistols are a great example. If you use the entire clip, the slider will lock back. Put a new clip in, release it, and it pulls a new bullet into the chamber.

Re: Why carn't Dice figure out reloading?

If you empty a mag on bfbc2 it doesn't c.o.c.k the gun, except for the M16 wich c.o.c.ks every reload even if you don't empty it.

If you want that level of detail then you should also waste any rounds still in the clip if you reload before it's empty. This happens on Operation Flashpoint, and it's quite annoying.
