I can see loads of players getting kicked because they shoot the host

What mode were you playing cringles? I've done knives and nades on squad rush to try and keep the players together, it was hilarious. Agree about rotation to keep people interested

i would like to see an OPC forumers server with the "forumfun" passowrd to try and keep it to friendly OPC members only, like back in the day, would be great for forum events

That is so true tricky-- I joined a rented server and to test out the insta kill will unguided tank shells, " oh there's a chopper" and with my first shot across the map Booooom double kill and the I got kicked-- I said to myself ooops that must of been the host and then I just laughed at the rage kick!
On another server a I had to bail from my jet and "ohh look there's a flag camper so I pulled out my 320 and delt him some death from above [DFA] and then I go kicked!
So yeah it's gonna happen alot, I'll probably kick high lvls if I see them dominating but not for one kill that's to much.

The same thing used to happen in Warhawk.  I don't know if BF3 is set up the same way but if you got kicked from the same server a certain number of times then you got banned.

It was quite amusing going back and looking for the host just to get kicked again and finally banned just for the lol's

In fact I think they should make a new ribbon for it

Well myself randy and ratty all got banned from a rented server today . First proper game we went in to  

Saw a post on the battle log by loads of people complaining in it after having their rented servers removed after kicking people. Turns out if you set rules in your server like "pistols and knives only" and enforce them by kicking people out who don't use pistols and knives then you get your server taken off you without warning and no refund given on any remaining days you had paid for.

I've just rented a server for a week to try it out and it turns out they can ban anyone thay want...
You can assign friends to the VIP list witch lets them join private game at will and you can also assign them as admin allowing them control of the settings wilst your offline!
Sofar it seems a nice setup.

Hope it works well for you. If I had a server i'd try to set up Squad Deathmatch without vehicles. The SDM medal is one that hardly anyone has because its so difficult. I've always thought the vehicle that spawns at random places unbalanced the round unfairly, because a weak squad can take the win just by being lucky enough to get the vehicle.

Then you have to focus on avoiding the vehicle or destroying it. It would be better without it IMO, and let the best squad win fair & square, guns only.

I just went to do that, it gave me some text about 'server cards' and a bunch of greyed out options.
