If you ask me he shouldn't have even mentioned it. It's embarassing. The game went down to a few quid, anyway, and a lot of us here own it already!

I've had BF1943 since it came out and its still really addicitve, like always still loads of players online. Just wish they had put some DLC up with new maps etc. Shame really but a great game none the less.

It came free with the limited edition of BC2. Still nice for those that don't have it, great game.

Forgive me, but are there two versions then, a Battlefield 1943 and 1942?

If so, which is the best one please.

Yes, there are two versions:

Battlefield 1942 was the first Battlefield game for PC only

and

Battlefield 1943 was released for the console's, PS3 and Xbox 360.

Battlefield 1942 as i said is only for PC and is a fairly old game and Battlefield 1943 is for consoles so if you dont play PC then go for BF1943 but if you like PC Gaming then BF1942 would be suitable. Personally, i have not played BF1942 so i cant really say much about it but im sure someone could give you more details.

Bit pointless really, I think most people who wanted the game would of bought it by now. I would rather they gave us some additional content for BF3.
