feels like C.O.D

if this beta is the shape of things to come then it's just another C.O.D

the unlocks for a start aren't like bfbc2 "but bfbc isn't battlefield" i hear you say, so tell me please, has all the other battlefield games had this unlock system?

i'm a fan of the two bfbc games and this just feels like C.O.D with kids running around.

Re: feels like C.O.D

It has bits that Dice have introuduced, that do say COD

- Levelling up

- Tigheter gun play

- Gameplay seems faster - might be more down to size of map.

- The way some people have approached playing the game - rushing in

- Almost got a pick up and play sense to it.

But its still Battlefield at heart, and different enough to warrant purchasing both games. Its still battlefield, but it does feel like it has made room to take new fps players, Cod players, or general FPS players under its arm.

But alot of what makes battlifield or bad company is very much there. In spades.

Why the generalisation about COD players being kids. no need to bait. its pathetic. And no need to look down from your horse. And makes you look like a kid.

Re: feels like C.O.D

I can see what you are saying regarding the quicker controls and what not, but in all its really nothing like COD. If you play in a squad, then you will understand.

Re: feels like C.O.D

i wasn't saying its anything like COD.

It is battlefield. And clearly that.

I was just saying that when first booting up the beta, it was clear that Dice had introudced a few things that screamed COD.

But its only a couple of bits.

how the hell can this feed like cod

cod is the same crap over and over

battlefieled is all about teamwork and helping each other out

cod games are hacked like todays meal and are ***** easy to rank up for example

a kid can get to rank 20 within 30 minutes gameplay unlike battlefieled

cod games get boring after a while, while battlefieled it dosent

and for one last note

call of duty games are copied from older fps games, just look around

can you see what you are writing?

I seen your posts on other threads. You come down saying COD is what you have said above, you label there players has what you have written. Yet you have just to wrote that, which is in essence what you are shouting against. Its making you look like a fool.

Its not just you, its other people as well. People are getting really defensive. and its annoying. The beta has not lived up to expectations - because they were set so bloody high. But it is still a very very good game that has not innovated over its older games or changed the way we think about milatary FPS.

Its just a game.

At the moment people are:

eitehr

1.) blaming all the little niggles and the fact they are having issues on COD players.
2.) Being PC elitist/BF2
3) people are saying you shouldn't compare this is BC2
4) Its only a beta
5) Rush is for noobs.
6)COD players.

Stop being so defensive (Coming from the really defensive post haha :smileyhappy: ) and enjoy it.

This game does  remind me a LITTLE BIT of Call of duty. Probably 2%. Thats it. :smileytongue:

I mean, I've been used to play BC2 (which differs largly from Call of duty) and jumping into the first game of BF3, I couldn't help but notice it's tiny resemblence to Call of duty.

After playing for a while, i completely forgot of call of duty though. lol. Theres a sense of accomplishment in this game, you feel like you're playing with a real SQUAD with #1 objective; destroy\defend m-com stations.

Unlike Call of duty where you "mindlessly"run around shooting anyone you see..

The last good game was MW2 (In my opinion).

Operation Metro was a bad choice for a Beta map too since it doesn't feature the main features that distinguishes BATTLEFIELD from COD; and thats Vehicle warfare & destructable buildings. (apart from blowing up holes on buildings and terrain @ operation metro)

They should've used Caspian border but I guess it's a big download or something :smileyindifferent:
