War tape setting is probably the best setting u can have ,even with headphones on ur not gonna hear the direction of footsteps until the last second then its to late, bc2 tho I could tell the direction of the foot steps but  not on bf3 u cant.

Oh right I stand corrected then, I thought when I tried the headphone setting it didn't seem to make much difference, but I will try it again on the headphone setting tonight might stop me from getting my neck sliced open all the time lol
