just bought close quarters!

and i suck....

to be fair i havent been on bf3 for a while ( future soldier cough cough! ). For some reason bf3 makes me bad if i dont play it for a while i will come back on and be very bad at it!

anyways paid 12.99 standard for the close quarters! and im not to sure i mean i only saw 2 servers for it so ive only been on for hour or so! but i got blasted aha so badddddd. I think i defo prefer the bigger scale maps and viechles etc!

Still its fresh and i will play more but i dont have all the unlock weapons and i cant find which one suits me for CQ.

hows everyone else getting on with it?

Re: just bought close quarters!

The maps are nice but I can only play them in small doses, I prefer the bigger maps. The weapons I've tried so far are great though. The L86 might well be my new favourite LMG.:smileyhappy:

Re: just bought close quarters!

I'm more of a large scale, vehicle warfare guy like most BF fans, but I love the new maps and the destruction is crazy how everything gets destroyed towards the end of the game :smileyhappy: Its refreshing to play the closer style maps after 2 or 3 games on the older maps.

Re: just bought close quarters!

Im actually really looking forward to getting this pack. BF3 needs some smaller maps now and again. The big ones can get boring after a few matches.

Also love that they have added that Gun Master thing, Like Counter Strikes "Gun Game".

Re: just bought close quarters!

I clearly need to explore abit more as I went back on and played a cool domination round in a car park which I want aware of these modes! Do I get more weapons with this pack as I didn't notice any? What's this gun game too? Will be going on later so will try and figure it all out lol.

That would be Operation 925, nice map, I like the variety it offers.

There's 10 new weapons, you'll have to unlock them through completing the assignments. You can find the information on these on Battlelog, or via the My Soldier menu in the game.

Gun Master, you'll have to get 2 kills with each weapon, and become the first to complete all 17 levels of it, in order to win. Starting with a pistol, and moving on through carbine, assault rifles, etc.

Re: just bought close quarters!

The more I play close quarters, the more I love it. Ziba Towers is my favourite map at the moment. :smileyhappy:

If you're stuggling I'd consider changing your weapons. These new maps are perfect for PDW's and shotguns.. so use something like the PP19, P90 or MP7 with extended mags.. MP7 only has 20 rounds and with the extreme rate of fire, damned if I can get more than 2 kills before reloading :smileytongue: or pretty much any shotgun. The F2000 on the assault class is also ideal for close quarters.

You're also best sticking with your squad/team and moving around in a together. I notice the good teams moving around in groups rather than lone wolf. It does kind of suck when your alone, run into 3 enemies and wind up dead before you can even point the gun. :smileyvery-happy:

If you play as recon, please make sure you lay down T-ugs whenever possible. Its a lot harder to spot enemies on CQ because, well, there's simply no time so motion sensors can really help with figuring out where they are.

Also look around you a lot. And pick your moments to reload very carefully. It gets pretty old pretty fast the amount of times you get shot at just as you're reloading, in which case remember to switch to your pistol. Oh, and at chokepoints be sure to check behind you as well. You can almost guarantee there will be at least one player on the opposing team flanking round at some point.

And always remember if an enemy runs around the corner to take cover, no need to follow. Just blast through the wall. :smileyvery-happy:

Re: just bought close quarters!

New maps are great, & the new weapons are decent to. But with the new weapons comes a random bug.

Sometimes when you spawn, it takes an extra few seconds for you gun to appear, which means you can't shoot. I just spawn, & I counted to at least 6 seconds before my gun would appear, & I was killed because I couldn't shoot. I'm not sure if the bug is limited to the new maps, or the new guns in general. It's a bit random but it happens often enough.
