Michael C Hall (Dexter) has cancer.
Dexter star Michael C Hall has revealed he has been receiving treatment after being diagnosed with cancer.
The 38-year-old said in a statement the disease was now in remission and he thanked his medical team for caring for him.
He described his form of cancer, Hodgkin's lymphoma, as a "treatable and curable condition".
"The Hodgkin's lymphoma is in complete remission and has been for some time," a spokesperson for the actor told UsMagazine.com.
"The treatment will continue as planned."
According to the US National Cancer Institute, Hodgkin's lymphoma is a relatively rare cancer of the immune system that occurs in about 3 out of 100,000 people.
"Symptoms include the painless enlargement of lymph nodes, spleen, or other immune tissue," a description on the website reads.
"Other symptoms include fever, weight loss, fatigue, or night sweats."
Hall confirmed he will attend the Golden Globe Awards this Sunday, where he is nominated for best dramatic actor for his lead role in Dexter.
The hit TV series is also nominated for best drama.
