Geez louise! I can't wait for this. I'll probably take a day off work for the release day just to see it, too.

BRING ON NOVEMBER 19TH!!

I love HP, but the fact they have split this into a 2 film cash cow makes me sad :(

I'm looking forward to this one too. :) I won't be seeing it on release day because I made plans to see it in December.

I'll reserve judgement on the 2-part nature of the film until I've at least seen Part 1.

Lmao .........snap and sooooo true :)

Both are not particularly long books either.....there are other HP books where a 2 film split may have been justified , Goblet or Order spring to mind....ach...

Money grubbing film studios...

But this all raises a valid point about watered down content and what is value for money???

Why release a 2 and half / 3 hour movie when you can get twice the money for two 1 and half hour movies ........

Ok this is fine when the content is different....the LOTR trilogy gave you close to 3, 3 hour movies...but they didn't start cutting up the 3 books into 6 movies...so why do it with the hobbit which imo is smaller than any 1 of the LOTR books......same applies to Hallows.

ach the pain...mmmm...by bet is the next Twiglight movie will do the same..Eclipse is 8, 10 minute parts...NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Silly emo chicks will pay 20 bucks for each 10 minute glimpses of glitter Edward....and boy wolf Jacob :)

lol

But you can also say why release a game with all the content you have been working on when you can cream the extra cash on DLC .......

Are we getting less product  for more money these days...or are we getting less of a better quality product  for the same money ???

I'm not really sure ....but splitting movies from single books gets my back up :)

There was talk of splitting Goblet into two movies but the idea was scrapped.

I'm incredibly excited for this movie, booked tickets as soon as it came out for release night.
Going with 12 other people lol.

And to be honest I'm glad they couldn't convert the movie to 3D in time, 3D would just serve as a distraction for this sort of film.

The funny thing is that the video game tie-ins come in two parts as well, I mean both films will probably come in at around 4.5 hours which is far too long for a film of that nature, but videogames do not suffer from this fault. Really they should merge the game into one, but this is EA we're talking about remember. So ultimately, both games will clock in at around 12-14 hours (6-7 hours per game), four hours of which is devoted to the film and the remaining 8-10 hours devoted to scenes and events not even the book records.

I am really looking forward to this movie as well, as the movies got a little darker in nature, the story drew me in more. I am happy that they broke it into 2 parts as well as there is way too many details to condence into one 3h movie.

I haven't got launch tickets but I will try work out a good time to go as close to launch date as possible.

Agree with you there mate. Except for the last one... The Half Blood Prince... Urgh if I wanted to watch teenage romance/drama, I would watch the O.C.

I too am looking forward to this, even more now that I found out at work (I'm working in projection these days, FYI) that the trailer for Green Lantern is going to be attached to all prints of Part 1. :D

After watching the trailers for the game I think I'd have more fun with Lego Harry Potter (which I haven't purchased yet).

Just test screened (we usually do a test screen to make sure there are no issues with the print) this this morning.

It was a lot better than Half-Blood Prince, but it does end very abruptly.

And before any of you ask, there's also nothing after the credits, no teaser for Part 2, nothing. So feel free to leave as soon as the credits roll. :D

EDIT: Also, Warner Bros. didn't attach the Green Lantern trailer to any of the Australian prints. They changed it at the 11th hour for a new Yogi Bear trailer. :(

Watched it last night and really enjoyed it. Well up there against some of the other films which should make for a good ending. The fact this one isn't at Hogwarts added to it, because some of the locations they use look great. A lot more action, still a few laughs, and although there are some emotional moments it isn't mushy like the last film.

Apparently the film would equate to about 3/4 of the last book (haven't read them :P) but still managed to not leave out important parts. Even though some elements were covered very quickly (a certain couple being married and being pregnant) all the major elements you would want there were. I was also told after the film that there was a lot of dialogue taken straight from the book, including some of the jokes.

I didn't find it ended up too abruptly. I'd had a glance at the time about 10-20mins prior to the ending and when the last scene was on I knew that was going to be the last scene.

Go watch it!

Saw it last night too, simply amazing.

The film was everything I wanted it to be and the atmosphere in the packed out cinema was fun to soak up, from the cheers when the "WB" appeared in the clouds to the closing credits.
The change in composer was noticeable with the lack of the theme tune almost entirely.

Steve Kloves excelled himself in this one, it was much much better than Half Blood Prince.

Can't wait for part two.

Definitely seeing this one again at some point.
