LOTR already looks amazing on DVD through the PS3, can't wait to see it on Blu-ray.

Eventually they'll probably have a 6-disc Blu-Ray set for uncut Hobbit films part 1 & 2 and the LOTR trilogy, plus another disc, maybe two of bonus features... actually you'd be looking at maybe a 7- or 8-disc set.
There's a tonne of special features though, didn't each of the LOTR films have a 5-disc set just for one film? So you could even have a 20-25 disc set although it beats me why you'd want to.

Yes... I bought them for the mrs before we were technically together... they were dual sided discs and had one version (theatrical) on one side, and the other version (extended) on the other side.. You didn't get the DTS soundtrack on the extended cuts in this version though... I guess that was to get them onto one disc, rather than the two that the original extended box sets used.
Now we have all three versions between us..
