I read an interview in Empire with Peter Jackson and they asked about when the Extended Cuts were coming out on Blu. He replied that due to his contract dispute he was out of the loop but he suspected that it would be at some point in the future about when the Hobbit movies would be released in order to milk the cash cow more.
