It earns a nice 8/10.
Funnily enough I just watched that one recently as well.
Fun movie, I would have loved to have been in the meeting with the producers when trying to get funding from the Indonesian government. "So this movie is about showcasing Indonesian talent. And we want to see how many stunt men we can kill and maim in the making of one movie"
totally insane, cheesy B grade action flick. Lots of fun.
7/10

The film's star Tony Jaa is awesome. He does some crazy stuff. There is now a sequel/prequel to Ong-Bak. In between making the films the same crew and Tony made a film called The Protector (AKA Tom Yum Goong). It's the same brutal style in another setting, this time it's Sydney. I highly recomend it. 4/5

I preferred Ong bak to The Protector..... it was more traditional B grade martial arts movie-fare, with a guy who is genuinely exciting to watch.... The Protector just kinda lost it's way to me..
Ong Bak is an awesome movie, I haven't watched that for a while, I should really watch it again for all it's elbow'y goodness :-D
Protector was a lil bit of a letdown after OngBak but was still good, The bonecracking room was awesome though :-D

The Spirit - 4.5 / 10
It wasn't like I was suprised this movie would be pretty ordinary, the preview trailer was woeful, the dialogue is atrocious really. The only thing that makes this movie worth a rent is you get to see Eva Mendes' butt.
I'm thinking about getting out Children of Men from work, anyone here seen it and would recommend it? I've heard the cinematography is really good and that it's an underrated film that should've fared better in the Oscars race.
