Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched

Totally agree. An excellent movie.
If anyone hasn't seen it I advise watching the TV series Firefly first.
Serenity was made for the fans of Firefly to tie up some of the loose ends due to the uncalled for canceling of the series. It has quite a few spoilers in it.

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched

How is it as a standalone story though? I can't be bothered to watch a whole tv series first, my free time is scarce enough as it is lol. Quite a sci-fi fan though...

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched

Its a good standalone story. I saw it before I saw the series and I enjoyed it a lot.
I didn't even know about firefly before I saw it. Just a few times certain characters appear in the movie that you wonder why they are important.

Drive.

Fantastic movie. It's a different movie to what i thought it would be. The acting was interesting, and it was just really a good story line, good ending and good acting. With a few nice car chases... would have liked more of them though. Music was awesome.

The Inbetweeners Movie, it was ok, very predictable though, the TV series are a lot funnier.

MI3? or MI4 - Ghost Protocol?

I have zero interest in Tom Cruise, and haven't seen 2 & 3 either.

Should I be more opened minded and watch them all?

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched

Finally got around to watching the original Swedish Insomnia. Some might know Nolan's version with Al Pacino and Robin Williams which I also really like.

Tremendous film, was done in 97 and centers around a disgraced detective played by Stellan Skarsgård sent out to northern Norway to solve a murder. The time of year means that it is experiencing a Summer solstice so no night time. He loses his ability to sleep, his grip on reality and the case as the film progresses. In terms of how it compares to Nolan's perspective, it's a more challenging film though that's not to detract from the remake. Focuses are different , more on the police procedural aspect and landscape of where it's set for instance.

A tremendous neo-noir. 5/5

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched

Watched Andre last night,

then started watching The Broken Hearts Club, but decided it was time for some sleep.

Andre was different than I remember from when I was a little tacker. The story of a seal that loses his mother, and is adopted by a local family, the youngest of which, is Toni, played by Tina Majorino (Mac from Veronica Mars).

Broken Hearts Club is always a good one to watch. Dean Cain, Zach Braff amongst other lesser known celebs.
