Duplicity - 8/10

lol cashing in on the free rentals at work... this isn't a bad film for what it is. The ending's a bit out of the left field but that's ok. It's not supposed to be an epic masterpiece, but I do think Clive Owen and Julia Roberts are convincing enough together. It's the sort of film if you go down to a video shop and you're looking for something light, just a film that can warrant a drink and a bowl of popcorn it serves well.

Public Enemy
8/10
the story took a bit to get into and then stretched on for a while but the several gun scenes and car chases made this movie bad ass, it had a real authentic 1930s feel which is good, and hard to pull off these days without feeling fake. a must watch though

Bruno - 2/10

It was somewhat funny, but it had too much dancing and talking Pen-is...

I didn't know they could show a pen-is in an MA15+ rated film...

Which leads beautifully into my next review, Watchmen - 9.5 / 10

Pretty good adaption of a well-loved comic. Didn't think it was as gory as people say it is though. Unfortunately there are some really poor music choices in this film, the most blatant being "Hallelujah" during the sex scene... and a strange version of it too, I think it was Jeff Buckley... so it just felt like really odd viewing, and not in the odd way that was meant in the graphic novel. Not fussed on My Chemical Romance's "Desolation Row" either... but I guess you have to either like MCR or hate them... on the other hand, I liked the use of Simon & Garfunkel's "Sound of Silence" during the funeral scene and Bob Dylan's "The Times (They are a changing)"

Ok so just found the time to watch Terminator Salvation. WTF? was it just me or did this movie blow chunks? very ordinary by the first two film's standards.

6/10. Probly would have found more enjoyment watching Gilmore Girls at home with the Girlfriend!

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched

I came across Crows Zero by chance on the weekend while flicking channels , turned out to be one of the best movies I have watched in ages.

Its a japanese movie based on a comic book about a school full of students that beat the crap out of each other. Its a bit like The Warriors , The Outsiders  ect.

Ill start with the bad GI Joe 2 out 10 it only gets 2 points for the VFX.

if it had none it would be a minus 6 out of 10.

Now to end on a better note watched Coraline 8 out of 10

such a fantastic film.

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched

Alien and Aliens for the hundredth time... both 9/10... very hard for me to pick between them... Aliens on one hand gets the nod because I grew up with it... Alien however has the suspense horror element about it, and a mythology that I sometimes think is a shame that James Cameron from onwards changed...
