Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched

Let the right one in,

2008 sweedish vampire romance I suppose?

Really excellent film. I watched this having been told by a friend that it was a genuinely scary vampire film. On that count it fails but it blindsided me and I totally ended up enjoying it for completely different reasons. It's a really touching story about the akward romance between the young outcast Oskar and a girl who also happens to be a bloodsucking vampire. The relationship develops really nicely throughout the film and although there are a few odd moments overall its a really fantastic watch.

9/10

Moon,

I'm sure somebody has already recommended this since it took me ages to actually get out and watch this at the one cinema showing it... I just have to say WATCH THIS FILM! It's stunning, very atmospheric and depending on what you've heard about the film before you see it you may not be expecting what actually happens. I certainly thought things were going to pan out totally different but loved the plot twist.

10/10

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched

Eden Lake - Not bad British suspense type film.  Some local kids terrorise a couple who go to stay at an lake before it gets developed.  Well worth a look.

8/10

Transformers 2 - Yawn, is it over yet?  For once I agree with the reviews, Michael Bay was just showing off how far he could puch the CG and even then I didn't think some of it looked right.  Cut 30 minutes off the length and it would hav been a good tight film, this just drags on.

5/10 for the slo-mo Megan Fox running scenes, well it was one of the few highlights for me.

I Love You Man - Bad, not funny, if he wasn't getting married it could almost have been just a gay movie, instead they tried lame gay jokes.

3/10

No I don't have no xbox, wii or other console, so every game is a PS3 exclusive as far as I'm concerned.

Watched, Law Abiding Citizen over the weekend, it is an awesome movie. 8.5 / 10 for me, there was only 1 slight let down but I don't want to wreck it for you all.

I highly recommend seeing it though.

"Nowhere Boy"

10/10

Fantastic biopic on John Lennon's adolescence, unlike a lot of icon films this is frank and honest and true to the past. No schlock romance manipulated into the story.
Another thing that sets it apart is it's a very specific period in his life, and doesn't move around too much time wise, so you get 1 actor playing the part which does a brilliant performace throughout. They captured the animosity between lennon and paul but ultimately friendship great too.

Don't know if it'd be able to appreciated by ppl who aren't as much a follower of the beatles, but for someone like me it was awesome. I'll be purchasing it for sure.

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched

Watched "The Book of Eli" on the weekend. I didn't mind it. Always been a Denzel Washington fan. Gary Oldman always plays a good villain to boot as well. Even had Ray Stevenson from "Rome" and "Punisher:Warzone".

I give it a 6/10 because I like the twist...
