Saw it Saturday night as well.

The Whedons definitely don't disappoint!

I saw The Avengers with a group of friends; we had been looking forward to this movie for ages.

We all enjoyed it immensely and are hoping that Joss Whedon will be given the helm for the (hopefully inevitable) sequel.

What an awesome movie,

I really thought I posted in here already.

The character interaction and the one liners were great, there were a few parts that had me in stitches. Those who have seen it prolly know the ones I mean.

I am really looking forward to the Avengers 2 (they have to do it) with Joss at the helm and

From what I have heard they are going to add Spiderman into it. I bet at the end of the New Spiderman movie they will have an Avengers reference

I am also looking forward to Ironman 3 & Thor 2 for the continuation.

I was talkin to a few of the guys here and my thoughts are:

If the movie is Marvel, it goes to Joss
If the movie is DC, it goes to Nolan

This way we all win.

Caught it today. Definitely the best of the Marvel movies thus far. Considering it has been talked up a bit my expectations were higher than normal, but were met for sure.

Good to see a bit more info and back story on the Black Widow as it was pretty much non-existant in Iron Man 2. More Nick Fury was cool too.

It was still Robert Downey's film but. He gets all the best lines. Credit to Mark Ruffalo for his Banner though. Looking for to the next ones in the series now.

Saw it was good, slightly disappointed as the HULK needed more story and movie time and yes I know he got alot but he is always dumped becasue of his persona.

I thought it was a very average film, gave it 2.5/5
Very slow and boring start and when the action comes in, its over the top chaos just showcasing explosions, cinematics and non stop action.
It lacked any plot or story, the characters were egotistical and conflicting, the hulk although has no control when in form still managed to know friend from foe... It was quit crap to be honest.. It was slightly entertaining to see that amount of action but i have seen far better films. Its over rated and did not deserve the accolades it got.
