To those who haven't heard of this - I hadn't until a couple of days ago - there is a sequel series coming up, produced by Hanks and Spielburg again, to Band of Brothers, and it looks really good. Same format I think, 10 hour long episodes. It is based, obviously, on the Pacific campaign of WWII, and was filmed mostly in Queensland.
I have the original series on Blu Ray and I really enjoy it, so this should be a blast I think. Anyway - some trailers:

I loved BoB and bought it as soon as it was released on DVD so can't really justify buying the BR release.
I did watch a couple of episodes again when it was on free-to-air over crimbo so might watch the series again now I have a much better AV setup than I did when i previously watched them. I've also yet to watch the last two episodes of my Tour of Duty DVD boxset, I guess when I do that it means it's over for my adventures with SGT Anderson and Co. ![]()
I'll be keeping an eye out for this sequel too, I hope they incorporate the memories of the real soldiers again, that really helped hit home the first series. the book is a good read too, it has photos of the actual soldiers in those circumstances and it's amazing how accurate it was.
edit: just watched the trailers, hope they haven't gone too "hollywood" with this one.

It will be on Australian TV I saw an ad for it on channel 7. I'm a big fan of Band of Brothers so I cant wait for this lets hope its as good.
@ Mulletino. Tour of Duty is like my all time favorite TV show your adventures with good old Zeke Anderson will never be over I've like watched the whole series 3 times or something but it is still sad when you finish it.

Well I watched Episode 1 (in really good 1080P quality I might add) of Band of Brothers on youtube last night.... and then Episode 2, although I had to mix and match a bit because they have bizarrely pulled part 3 and 4 of Ep 2 but not the rest..
I was sold... bluray ordered and should hopefully be shipped today..

Yeah, the first episode was great... brought back all the boot camp war movie memories, like An Officer and a Gentleman, and Full Metal Jacket..
David Schwimmer seemed an odd choice at first for the role, but once you understand what and who his character is more it makes sense... You just get used to these barking mad Gunny Sergeants with 25 years in the marines in that kind of role, rather than a strict, arrogant young commissioned officer during war time with no actual leadership skills...
Still.. the idea of 'Ross' running up and down a hill, driving his boys to breaking point was a bit funny at first ![]()

Band of Brothers is the best piece of TV ever made IMO. Very high hopes for The Pacific.
