This Could Be The Uncharted Movie’s Female Lead
The bad news is the big-screen “adaptation” of Naughty Dogs’ beloved Uncharted series is still underway. The good news? I get to post a picture of Scarlett Johansson, who could be in the running to play Nathan Drake’s girl.
We know director David O. Russell wants Mark Wahlberg to star as Nathan Drake, and we know he wants Robert DeNiro to play the role of Drake’s father figure in the film. What we didn’t know, at least until now, is which actress O. Russell sees filling the shoes of Elena, Drake’s love interest in the games.
In a recent interview with Empire, the director boasts about enhancing the character of Elena.
Ah, Elena. I’ve cultivated her quite a bit and I think I’ve added a lot of dimension to her so that’s all I’m going to say. I love the woman characters and the more robust they are, the more robust the movie.
Oh good, a more robust Elena. Considering he’s changing Nathan Drake into the scion of a family of high-powered art dealers, why not a more robust Elena. Why not make her a ninja? I know just the woman for the part. Empire suggests Amy Adams, but another name comes to O. Russell’s mind.
Oh I would love that too, I love Amy. I also love Scarlett Johansson; there’s a lot of great actors I think might suit. Hopefully, we’ll see how it works out with everybody who are being scoped to do that role…
I’d say that Johansson wouldn’t be a good fit for the role, but with so many disparities planned between the movie and the video games, who knows? Just look on the bright side: If this works out, we’ll at least have Scarlett Johansson to ogle until the credits roll.
Whenever I hear Russell talk I can't even work out that he is talking about Uncharted, I really can't. There is no hope for this. We already have our great film, and it's interactive.

Sir MC (as we should all in reverance refer to him as) is a tad too old for action movie shenanigans now (he's 77)....but 15-20 years ago he would have been an interesting twist for the role
