Hi,
I have completed and platinumised this game and still have 200 odd challenges to do online which I will get to.
I have all cars and bikes and all the DLC stuff but was wondering on what everyone's opinion was on which car to use for setting the fastest time on the roads?
My mate has completed the game and we try and set the fastest time on roads.
For instance, using my bought GT Nighthawk I hit a road with an already 6 x Boost Chain going and fly round a road without hitting anything and keeping my boost going and yet I am still a few seconds out on a few roads and I cannot see anything that can be faster.
Can anyone suggest what cars to use when setting fast times on roads?
I did find that I set the fastest time in Lawrence Drive (the tunnel) by choosing the Hunter Civilian, a very heavy car, and then starting at the top of the map and boost chain down to the tunnel and fly throught it with boost chain going. I was very suprised to beat my GT Nighthawk time by over two seconds using this car and I feel there may be more to it with cars and there attributes as I would never have thought of using that car. I got 12.00 seconds in Lawrence Drive and I found on the internet the fastest time is something like 11.62 seconds.
Any hints or advice would be appreciated!

it realy depends on the road you are trying to rule .
try carbon hawker fast if you handle it .it back end slipps alot .
then if thats not the one for you try the revenge racer or v16 which gives you the fasted times on the roads
ther is also the pdpc car f1 cop car
i would go for the revenge racer its the best

Aye I know about them cars and they are obviously the fastest but it seems not.
I just read on Burnout Wiki that the Hunter Civilan, even though with a speed rating that is poor compared to other cars can achieve faster times when going downhill because of its weight.
The Carbon Hawker and the Krieger Uberschall seem the best for speed.
What about the little roads at the top right of the map?

And according to here: http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstation/board/
The best time on that road is 11.58 with the Hunter Citizen which I find strange!
I guess some roads are best with some carsbut not one car can rule all roads.

Are you sure you are not looking at Ross Drive as that is my score for it, the next road along after Lawrence Drive.
11.13 on Lawrence Drive would be a world record my man.

Depends on a lot of things. I always drive the GT Concept so naturally I go pretty fast in that. But you may want to consider (not taking into account cars from DLC):
Carbon GT Concept (I hate how they lowered the stats for it
)
Carbon Hawker (Fast but due to its high strength may be heavy. back end slips a bit so be careful)
PCPD Special (You have to really know how to control this thing. If you're not really careful, as soon as you boost you can spin out. Be careful when drifting with it as well)
Good Luck.
