Burnout Paradise Lost Data

I've been a major fan of Burnout Paradise for the ps3 since it appeared on the store as a demo. I used to play on my uncles account Haggis76 be purchasing my own ps3. On Haggis76 I had so much fun finding all Billboards, Smashes and Super Jumps. I also done all races, road rules and showtimes, then the Island came and I done all that as well which was so fun. Once I got my own ps3 I made an account Beedy192 and couldn't wait to start doing Burnout Paradise for myself, however on 16/06/11 around 18:30 UK time I turned on my ps3 to get back to my beloved Burnout Paradise and my game had reset at first I thought this was just a glitch so reset my ps3 and loaded it up again and it reset. I spoke with my uncle Haggis76 and his had reset again as well and also asked other gamers Pipkin1 etc..... and the had the same problem. Can you shed some light on this situation as I can't bring myself to start hunting down all Billboards, Smashes, Super Jumps and Road Rules again on both the city and the island as it's so time consuming. I've spent a considerable amount of money on this game including the island, all car parks bar the toy pack and don't want to just through away hours of fun. Is there any possible way I can have my road rules and all city and island discoverables back. I'm not to fussed about the races as they can be done fairly quick again.

Kind Regards

Re: Burnout Paradise Lost Data

this happened to me as well

i had all the gates, jumps, carparks, bilboards, races, road rules and driverthroughs for the main city and the island and 450 odd of the challenges

was playing my game about a month ago, everything was fine, they booted it up last week and found that it was introducing me to paradice, i let it go to the online stats page as it does when it is booted up, and it said i had all of my stuff as i should, but when they game continued to boot i found i had only my basic stuff and the dlc i had got for it.

not impressed, i was in a state of complete shock, and i know alot of people readint this will probably be thingin its just a game, get over it, but i enjoyed collecting all of the board, gates, etc.

Re: Burnout Paradise Lost Data

It happened to many other people as well and know one seems to be getting an answer. I've been emailing EA for support but nothing I just get told paste it to a forum where it will most likley be ignored. I spent a lot of money on this and this is the payback we get. Losing loyal fans isn't good for business so I suggest they buck up there idea's.

I started burnout again have done all gates, billboards and jumps in the city and have 120 races left on the burnout license. It took me about 6 - 7 hours of hardcore playing which wasn't the most enjoyable however gets me back to where I was when I had everything. I hope you find a solution and I will keep posting if I get anything back via EA or Criterion.

Re: Burnout Paradise Lost Data

This is a joke and needs to be fixed. Starting again is not really an acceptable solution given it could happen again!

Re: Burnout Paradise Lost Data

I had this issue 3 times on Friday but not since....here's how to prevent it : save manually (START then L1 a few times) then choose "Return to main menu" at the bottom. Watch as it probably autosaves again, then quit via the XMB in the usual way. The problem occurs when you quit as its autosaving. Now back-up your save to a USB stick or similar just in case...Hope this helps prevent further agony!!!

Re: Burnout Paradise Lost Data

Has happened to me me 3 times over the past few days and also to friends and people I meet in rooms. Very annoying and there seems to be no reason for it, luckily it wasn't on my main ID. EA need to fix this soon, they ruined the best game ever on PS3.

Re: Burnout Paradise Lost Data

ive heard a few people saying it is some kind of conflict with premium avatars from ps store, and should be able to load and save correctly with a basic standard ps3 avatar.

but ive gaming on burnout regularly while using a premium avatar for as long as they have been around and its only happend now, since it was released on ps+

would be interesting to know if anyone with a downloaded version has had this problem

Re: Burnout Paradise Lost Data

I've been using a premium lbp avatar on the downloaded version; I'm convinced it's an autosave problem though, as it hasn't reset again since I started quitting to main menu before leaving the game via the XMB. I've loaded and saved successfully dozens of times since, so I don't think its anything to do with avatars, more with the fact there should be two save slots in case it decides to autosave just as you're turning it off....
