Online Pass Burnout Paradise

When I start the game i get the error "I cannot connect to the paradise city servers on every attempt I get the error "Your system lost connection to the Paradise City servers, Please check your network connections and try again later" .

Afther contacting an mailing back and forth with EA support they say I have to buy a online pass for Burnout Paradise to use the online capabilities of the game. But I cannot find the Online Pass for Burnout Paradise in the PSN Store.

Where do I have to search for to find the Online Pass in the PSN store ?

Re: Online Pass Burnout Paradise

Burnout Paradise requires no online pass someone at EA is giving you false information.

Connection problems with EA servers are usually caused by router firewalls have a look at page 12 of the game manual.

Open the ports listed or set-up a DMZ for your PS3 in your router.

Burnout Paradise ports are TCP 21800-21899 and UDP 3659,6000,9565 and 9570.http://portforward.com/routers.htm

Re: Online Pass Burnout Paradise

The strange thing about my problem is that an other PSN ID can use Burnout Paradise online at the very same PS3 as mine is not working. Thats why I contacted EA to look into my account.

I already configured my PS3 in a DMZ, but that didn't resolve my problem.

Re: Online Pass Burnout Paradise

Very strange it could be an account authentication issue. Do other EA games work fine on the account your having problems with?

It maybe worth deleting and re-installing the game data in the Game Data Utility folder. Failing that try using a fresh game save.

Re: Online Pass Burnout Paradise

I tries two other EA games.

Red Alert 3 seems to go online (only no online friends there)

Need for Speed Prostreet - gives an error connecting to "EA Nation"

I also tried to remove the user completly from the PS3 and after that to create a new user on the PS3 with no savegames or whatsoever. I hooked this new local PS3 user to my PSN ID.

After that I tested Burnout Paradise, ans this game still gives the error Your system lost connection to the Paradise City servers, Please check your network connections and try again later" on startup. And in-game where online features are activated.

I'm having these issues with Burnout Paradise (BLES00073) and Burnout Paradise Ultimate Box (BLES00455), both on BluRay media and updated to version v1.90

I also removed all gamedate from Burnout Paradise Ultimate Box and did not update the game to v1.90 but not doing the update seems to block the online functions also. First playing the unupdated version and after that playing the updated version also didn't resolve the online issue Iḿ having.

Burnout Paradise is a very fun game to play and I think I might start playing it online again. But I don't recall having to buy an online pass for the online features of the game to work and therefore this means that someone has given you false information. And for the fact that you can't connect to the Burnout Paradise servers might mean that they are not working properly.

Re: Online Pass Burnout Paradise

You do have to buy a pass to play online, but it's not a pass specifically for Burnout Paradise. Its some sort of Online Pass that is connected to your PSN ID that enables you to play any game online. $10 last I checked.

What a load of rubbish online passes were introduced in 2010. Burnout Paradise was released in 2008 you don't have to pay EA hidden fees to play none pass required games. The OP seems to have some kind of account problem other account works.
