Status of Burnout Paradise

I played this game a good few years ago and loved it - hell i still have some people on my friends list from my very first online game.  Anyway I was thinking about getting the complete bundle on the psn but was wondering if all the online features are still running and support by Criterion.

If someone could let me know it would be great.

cheers

Re: Status of Burnout Paradise

The online is very much active fair enough its not as full as it was a couple of years ago but it has had a recent boost it was given away during the summer for Playstation + members.

I was on recently there's normally between 60 to 100 lobbies with quite a few with 4 to 8 players normally freeburn challenge lobbies fill.

Re: Status of Burnout Paradise

cheers for that - bought the full game and am starting again. Its great.
One thing - is it normal for a browser page to pop up when you start the game which you have to cancel for the game to show? Seems to happen every time. Webpage is blank.

Re: Status of Burnout Paradise

The start up web page seems to be the only thing in the game servers that doesn't seem to be maintained basically its for checking your's and friends progress stats for career, island and online progress.

Maybe the lack of maintenance on the web application is an indication that Criterion games are too busy working on Burnout 6 fingers crossed.

I raised the issue about the web application in another post it does appear to be neglected nowadays.

Re: Status of Burnout Paradise

There's an option to turn off trying to display that web page - something like "Display news on boot" orsomething like that.

True, however it's confusing to new players who will likely sit and wait for something to happen the first few times.
