If I have this plugged in then most games refuse to recognise the existence of my joypad unless I reassign it to port 1. Also Fallout 3's R2/L2 completely fail to respond, requiring a reboot sans dongle to get the game working fine. Any chance with a future patch you could look at letting the dongle assign to controller port 6 or something?

I think it's PS3 feature to favor usb controllers to first. Reasigning the controller works for me but I don't have Fallout. I hope SONY does something about it though.

The problem is not "just" with the Buzz Buzzers. The problem also happens if you have Guitar Hero / Rock Band controllers hooked up to your PS3.

Sony has known about the problem for over a year now, but have so far not been able to come up with a solution that works for every game.  The only "solution" so far is that either the "player" reassigns the port of the controller at each start up or if the developer makes their game work with a controller in an arbitrary port.

In the manual it tells you to remove the dongle before playing other games anyway

Can't say I've ever had a problem using this method.

Boot the game up, hold PS button for a few seconds and re-assign controller from there, no need to re-boot.
