Hi everyone,
If you’ve bought Buzz!: Quiz World, thank you! Here’s an overview of what’s cool, sparkling and new in this version of Buzz! If you have any further questions or feedback about the game, please post here and we’ll do our best to respond.
The game now speaks your name! Choose from hundreds of real and nicknames to have Buzz call out to you when you’re doing well... Or badly. We built the list from official data for popular baby names from each of the last few decades. And then we thought up some silly nicknames for you to use in case we didn’t include your real name in the list. Sneakily, Buzz now remembers your playing history, such as rivalries you might have built up with other players, what you’re like at answering questions, and whether you’ve recently had a go at picking what questions come next.
Lots more ways to play! A lot of the feedback about the previous PS3 games was that people wanted more ways to enjoy the game. We’ve listened and added new modes like ‘Crazy Game’, ‘Serious Game’, and short and long (15 and 45-minute) games. On top of that, you can now simply pick which round you want to play next during the game – or if you want to make a detailed choice, you can specify exactly which rounds you want in or out of the show.
Let’s get quizzical! Say hello to our new ‘mini-quizzes’. These are eight-question quizzes themed around a particular topic, from ‘Fabulous Fruit’ to ‘Lovely London’. You pick these at the end of a round, just as you would a general knowledge topic. We reckon there’s a specialist subject for most people in there. We’ve also pumped up the fun in the questions, with some sillier answers and well-chosen topics for you to enjoy. We’ve once again packed the game with over 5000 questions.
New gameshow rounds! Go ‘On The Spot’ and have your friends bet your points for you! Avoid a swim in the gunk tank in ‘Over The Edge’! Race to max-out your temperature gauge in ‘Boiling Point’! Alongside these are lots of Buzz! favourites, such as Fastest Finger, Point Builder, Pie Fight, Pass The Bomb, High Stakes and Stop The Clock. The clincher end piece, Final Countdown, has had a big overhaul – watch those flames lick the sky!
Play with lots of friends... Or on your lonesome! We’ve added more support for eight players, with more rounds compatible with eightplayer gaming, which you can play using any mix of Wired or Wireless Buzzers. Alternatively, the new singleplayer challenges based on Stop the Clock and Over The Edge are there for you to enjoy when the party’s over but you’re not quite ready for bed. Play with friends at home in the Sofa versus Sofa online mode! Now up to eight players can take part in Sofa versus Sofa online games, and four of those can be from your house. Play with any combination of friends at home, PSN Friends and, uh, friendly strangers. On top of this, you can now use Voice Chat in the game to trade clever quips and friendly banter with other online players (and of course you can switch it off if someone’s being annoying).
Give give give me more more more MyBuzz! quiz action! With over two million user-created questions sitting in the MyBuzz! filing cabinets, we’ve created a new menu system with new ways to dig around and find stuff you might like to play. Buzz will also offer you his pick of the latest creations, and there are now more rounds compatible with MyBuzz! quizzes.
Big, bright production! Buzz now has a bigger, brighter stage to fool around on, a stairway to run down at the start of the show, and a bigger audience to hear his witty banter. The stage is now flooded with sparkling new lights, adding more colour and depth to the show. Look out for some snappy new contestants to choose from, such as Knight, Monster and Yogi, alongside old favourites like Overlord, Quizman and Cheery. There are a dozen characters to choose from in all, with three outfits each. Oh, and watch out for the new Round Intros with a counter to show you how far through the game you are.
Lots, lots more...! You can now launch the game from Home, and look out for a few surprise Home Game Rewards tucked away in the game. There’s a sparkling new Trophy set for you to earn, some of them serious, some... well... a bit silly. This is Buzz!, after all. What else? There’s a quick restart menu at the end of the game, so you can leap back in and play. The game also offers you MyBuzz! quizzes based on the kind of questions you’ve answered correctly. There’s a new credits sequence that highlights the best – and worst – players among you. And, amongst other things, you can upload your PS Eye/ EyeToy pictures from the game to your XMB or www.mybuzzquiz.com.
Overall, there are buckets of fun stuffed in Buzz!: Quiz World. Hope you enjoy the game!

I've played the first game at a friends, but would like to get this version myself. However I'm without buzzers, so do i need to get the original first or is there a bundle with this version out?
The new one doesn't come bundled with Buzzers, you can buy them seperately though so you don't have to buy the first game. Ithink Argos sell them.
