Re: Hello from Relentless

Even my kids (who enjoyed it at the start) have stopped playing it due to repeated questions. Not a good endorcement.

Oh well, going to have to park this game or sell it if I don't hear positive vibes from Relentless. Such an incredible let down.

Think the valuable lesson for the future is to ignore the rave reviews and wait for real customers to buy a game and then assess their feedback before deciding.

Re: Hello from Relentless

Reason for fast repeating is those annoying categories and sub-categories. Game has 5000 questions = every category have about 1000 questions, sub-categories have about 250 questions.

Idea for that category thing may be good, but the bad things about it that some players only picks up same categories, and then repeating starts. It would been good that there wouldn't be categories...just like in PS2 Buzz's. Relentless people didn't thought this twice. There should have been at least 50 000 questions in disc to get these categories works fine. (50 000 questions would be 10 000 questions per category and 2 500 questions per sub-category.) Then repeating wouldn't have been so fast.

Re: Hello from Relentless

thats the thing, everybody knows there should have been something like 50,000 questions, but because they wanted to fleece us for dlc, they put a small amount on, so basically for the game we all thought we were getting we are gunna have to buy 100 more quiz packs which will cost over £350!!!! so nearly £400 for a complete game, now that is UTTER MADNESS!!!

Re: Hello from Relentless

People seem quick to forget that creating good questions costs time and money for Relentless. It's a bit naive to think that just because a BD has more storage space that they can suck up the lack of revenue and do 10x more work than previous Buzz titles without passing the additional development costs on to customers. I agree that the DLC packs already completed should have been included in the game (though it should be noted that games are finished weeks before going on sale and they've likely been working on much of the current DLC during that time), but expecting 50,000 questions is a bit over the top.

Betreff: Hello from Relentless

Hi there,

please add an option to change the language settings in-game. I don't wanna change my system settings every time I'm done playing BUZZ.

Thanks!

Re: Betreff: Hello from Relentless

Hi All,

BritishBeef -we get a lot of mail every day, especially now as there is a new game out. Sorry, we just don't have time to reply to each one. I'm hoping that us posting on the forums will give us the chance to talk to more people at once.

xenept  - did you read my thread about repeating questions? http://community.eu.playstation.com/playstationeu/board/message?board.id=bEN_g_gen_buzz&thread.id=84...

To add to that - if Sony and ourselves could have afforded to put more questions on the disc, we would have. Everyone likes to have a lot of questions, but all games have a budget and the questions and videos, songs and pictures that go with them are a huge part of this for Buzz!.

Every question has to be written by an professional question write, then recorded by top VO artists. It then has to be translated into 11 languages and recorded by the foreign VO artists. And that's before you include all the people inbetween who organise, add then test every one of those 55,000 questions across all versions of the game. An expensive process!

Elenkis is right - the DLC Packs were arranged much later than the disc  - the disc can take months to master and manufacture, whereas the Packs can be tested separately and put on the Store quite quickly.

Spaulding -  we didn't put a language select in-game because we thought that most people would play in one language and the benefit to them of not having another choice to make was better than people who play in multiple languages having to switch their PS3 language.

Hello, yea 5000 questions is enough, but we need more rounds as the rounds are too short and doesn't last long like the music quiz back in the ps2 version. when is the trophies coming, i can't wait but its taking ages.

thanks
