Re: Betreff: Hello from Relentless

I didn't mean that you have to make disc with 50 000 questions. I was pointing to that category and sub-category thing. 5 000 questions are not enough to 20 categories. 250 questions in one sub-category just means really really fast repeating of questions.

Because it would had been too expensive to make 50 000 questions to disc, so it would been wise to stay in the PS2 Buzz games theory, no categories. Game was only just needing more rounds - and putting "All that apply" and "Stop the clock" (Not sure about english name of that round) is not enough.

Re: Betreff: Hello from Relentless

And one add to last post

Game needs:

1. Many new rounds
2. Custom game (Some people may just want to play longer rounds and maybe some round two times in game - even in online)
3. Online game for 2-8 players (with more than three rounds)
4. Better Single-player (3-4x Clock round is B-O-R-I-N-G)
5. All those things what was ripped of when comparing to PS2 Buzz games

Not so important but still would be positive things

6. Our lovely Rose back (Okay, this is not important....or is it?) - Of course VO have been already done and it would be stupid to add Rose afterwards.
7. Offline scoreboard
8. In online game - when you press "Join now" and there is two players, there should be button to press when you are ready. In 30 seconds it's really hard to get 4 players (I know by creating a friend game and opening it to all players - there is possibility to wait)

There may be more things but can't just remember now.

Re: Hello from Relentless

I'm a little disappointed for the following reasons:

Where's Rose? As annoying as she was, she was part of the original setup and was kinda cool. I'm guessing now that Mr Buzz! has hit the big time and made a little change, he thought he simply didn't need her anymore; thus, firing her!

Also, after playing all the original Buzz! games on the PS2, we purchased Scene It? Lights, Camera, Action on the Xbox 360 and slated it as we thought it was not a patch on Buzz! One of my main gripes about the game was there were no prizes at the end. Then, to my surprise, after purchasing Buzz! on the PS3 yesterday and completing a few games both online and off, to my horror we get to the end and the credits start scrolling... what on Earth happened to world peace, the cheese board, the chicken, yacht and Caribbean island? What with the current credit crunch and spate on stabbings in the Capital, world peace and some chicken and cheese for my dinner would have been spot on! I'm going to play the game some more later but I'm not holding my breathe in the hope that I missed something; and that they will come back.

Re: Hello from Relentless

I live in sweden and play all games in english and have my systemlanguage set to english. The addons packs from the store didnt specify that they were in swedish language only, and even the store is in english. So why why why is this? I want to play the game in english. My girlfriend and friends all feel that the original game got old really quickly with repetitive questions and we were dying to try the DLC. Instead they are completely useless for us now. Can i expect a fix to this problem or did i just throw money away?

Re: Hello from Relentless

Hmmm...I noticed funny thing.... In Sony's Buzz Quiz TV Site [ http://uk.playstation.com/games-media/games/detail/item76276/Buzz!%E2%84%A2%3A-Quiz-TV/ ]

  • Choose your subject, choose your quiz and play in High Definition with huge online support
  • Start with 5,000 questions and download tens of thousands more
  • Play online against Buzz! teams worldwide and write and share your own quizzes

    HD resolution: 1080i, 720p

1. Huge online support? Huge = 3 rounds ?!

2. Download tens of thousands more.....500 questions for 4,95 euros, so 10 000 questions would cost 99€ (If there is even going to be that much quiz packs) . - If that "Download tens of thousands more" means user created questions, they can't even be downloaded to your system what is really sad, because all players may not have internet connection 24/7, or if they go to friend's house where is no WLAN or possibility to ethernet.

3. Play online against Buzz! Teams...what teams?! You don't even know how many players are in the one sofa, because only one buzzer from one household can be used.

4. This may be Sony's mistake...but in the Buzz! Quiz TV Box it only saids 720p

Re: Hello from Relentless

Well it's good to know that Relentless are actively reading these forums. I'm sure they are busy weighing up the options and developing a strategy to try to address the issues. There will be no quick fix and not everyone will be happy. But at least these days we are not left hung and dry.

Having also purchased Grid, there are sometimes shortcomings in games but as long as they look at addressing them then all is not lost.

Now that I have buzzers, I've decided to buy the PS2 Mega Quiz and Pop Quiz. This is my first introduction to the Buzz franchise and I'm not quite ready to give up on them just yet.

I think we just have to be a little patient. We don't want to scare Dan away!!

Re: Hello from Relentless

Everyone is happy after Quiz TV gets at least all the things what have been ripped of, example custom game. (And free of course, who would want to pay more to get things what is in PS2 Buzz's)

Of course we don't want to scare Dan away. It's really good that Dan is reading these forums.

Re: Hello from Relentless

hi dan, so your happy to admit that we got no chance of having a buzz game with more than 5,000 questions, nice way to lose customers, i for one wont be buying the future releases of buzz, and will also be putting my friends off to!!! im not spending hundreds of pound on dlc to make the game what it shouldve been from the start!!!

THERE NEEDS TO BE MORE DIFFERENT ROUNDS, PLEASE GIVE US SOME FEEDBACK IN RELATION TO THIS DAN, THANKS

Re: Hello from Relentless

I think we need to give Relentless a little time to come up with a strategy. Lets face it, we're not going to get everything we want. There needs to be a balance and I'm sure they'll come up with something - they're not silly and certainly don't want to lose customers.

The great thing about the PS3 is that there is always hope that a patch can be made available at some point. Having liaised with Dan, I know they are working hard behind the seens. Lets not rush them into making a statement without giving them a chance to assess all the various options.

I mean, they fixed the mybuzz website so that it works better on the PS3/Opera browsers and nobody even complained about that!

For those that are new to the franchise and now have buzzers, the PS2 versions of Buzz are pretty cheap so at least you can enjoy the previous Buzz incarnations too.
