The New Wireless buzzers are out on July 4th 2008. They use RF technology rather than Infrared, which means you don't have any line of sight. The batteries are included which gives the Buzzers a nice weighty feel. They are manufacured by Namtai and are only availible in black. The Buzzers are compatible with all Buzz games included upcoming PLAYSTATION 3 Network game: Buzz! Junior: Jungle Party.

I just bought the game today. I was really looking forward to the wireless buzzers, if they even work.
I can't play the game as it won't detect my buzzers. I've followed all instructions too. I've put the USB bit in, and turned the buzzers on, it flashes 8times and that's it. Does nothing. The screen says
The Buzz! Buzzers have been detected, press the Buzz! button to continue
I can't get passed that message. Even when I try piaring all 4 buzzers again, it won't do anything.
I got out my old wired buzzers and put it in and got pass the message with ease.
Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

I bought mine and they work fine. I played with my 2 mates today and we found that each buzzer is alocated a player number, so you could be using player 4s buzzer to do the menu. Try to find player 1 buzzer and use that one. It's a pickle as the buzzers dont have a number on them, but when you select whos playing in the multiplayer mode you can figure out which buzzer corresponds to which player.
I hope this helps. x

Thanks for the advice guys, but no luck. I hold the power for four seconds, but it does nothing (no blue glow). I think the buzzers are just naff so I'll have to replace them tomorrow at GAME. For now, I'll use my wired ones.
Cheers.

Sorry for bringing this old tread back to life again, but figured you would let me have it if i posted the question without the right research;-)
Anyway, this don't work for me. I've checked every manual and forums i could find, but I still can't get it to work. My old dongle broke, and Sony was so kind to send me a new one. But i can't pair it with the buzzers. The thing is: i hold all power-buttons for 4 secs, so they emit a steady glow of blue. Then, with it connected, i hold the "bind" button. The blue light in the dongle flashes breafly 3 times, before goin into a steady glow. Then nothing more happens. I've even held that "bind" button until the controllers turn them self of. (Yeah. It's a while!)
And i know it's wrong that my first post is a question, but i hope some of you kind souls could help me anyway. Thanks:-)

I've had the same problem with the buzzers not binding. It happens every time.
The solution I use is:
Start Buzz - you will get a message that buzzers have not been detected.
Insert USB dongle into USB port on PS3.
Hold bind button down on side of dongle until it flashes blue.
Now push the power button on the buzzer forwards - I find I have to do this 2-3 times and then the buzzer will flash. It should flash 12 times (8 slow followed by 4 quick) If it only flashes 8 times continue until you get 12. Lock the buzzer power switch by pulling it back.
Next push the bind button down and the blue light will go out.
The buzzer(s) should now be ready to use.
I end up doing this every time I start a new game - but it works.

Thanks for trying, but it doesn't work with mine.
Its a shame it should be so hard, but i guess it could kill someone to make a simple and working system for once.
