Welcome to our new “Face Off” inspired team tournament.

Since the start of the year I have run a clan tournament on Modern Warfare 3 which has been a considerable success.  Congratulations to SHT and LDN on coming out top in each of the 3 respective seasons.  In continuing the tournament spirit I thought we could change it up a bit (and also simplify things a wee bit too).

This time, i’m wanting you to get into pairs!

A recent update to MW3s playlists added a “Face Off” game type and the publisher has been kind enough to add a couple of free maps to the PlayStation store.

The set up is this, 2 vs 2 Team Deathmatch and Kill Confirmed on the following 4 maps:

Erosion
Aground

And to give the tournament a bit of a change of scenery every now and then:

Underground
Dome

(In order to get a hold of Erosion and Aground, just load up MW3’s multiplayer, select “store” and select to download the “Call of Duty: MW3 - 2 FREE Face Off Maps: Erosion/Aground (Game Pack)” item)

Now the way the tournament is to be set up is yet to be seen, this will depend on how many sign ups we get.  Regardless, I want you to submit the results of each match via in-game screenshot.  I will explain how you do this when the event kicks off for real.

Now we have something special to offer you throughout this and a reason for me to take note of the scores from each week.  The person with the highest amount of kills throughout the tournament will be granted our “Best Shooter” forum rank which you will be able to have displayed in your forum profile up until a later date when we decide to play for it again.

Now, I’m hoping to kick this off either on the 9th or the 16th of June so I’m going to need the following from those who want to enter:

Your team name
Your Team mates online ID

Just reply to this thread with that info and consider yourself registered for the tournament!

Aye, so if you want to sign up for the tournament then just post your team name and give your team mates name and I'll go about drawing up a structure for the event!

I'll be up for joining in.  Haven't really got anyone one person I play with all the time so if any OPC want to team up with me, just let me know and we'll team up

Yup, this tournament isn't about clans this time.  The only thing is that you need a team name and it can't be the same as another.

I will accept things like OPC Alpha and OPC Bravo though.
