Activision explains why SP is short.....

Reason

"With multi-player we deliver hundreds or thousands of hours of gameplay for about the same price as taking a family to the movies," Kotick said. "It's also a way to address the challenge of used games."

Makes sense tbh each used game is one person who did not help pay to keep the servers running

Have to wonder if the reason why they increased the price also falls into it

Hmmm, I guess it's a good excuse... If they had decent servers. How can they justify making a game revolving around online play and mess up the servers?

Re: Activision explains why SP is short.....

As we are on the subject of SP can anyone tell me why on the first mission as a Ranger on the Afghan bridge where there is a heavy battle raging from both sides of the river that....

A: A local soldier is sat with Rangers chewing on a chocolate bar

B: 3 guys sat on stairs going up to the bridge, one is sat looking at his mobile phone

2 things to do as a war is going boobs up.........

[ Edited ]

If I remember a family cinema ticked costs less than £45 :smileywink:

The muliplayer is brilliant but I love the single player in COD games and would prefer if they were longer

messed up servers... messed up game that needs 4 patches on release to get it nearly playable... if they want to charge the price they did for this game, maybe they should make sure it works properly from the disk without a patch... just glad I got mine from Sainsbury's...

I though that, yet the two on the stairs are to stop you using going up there unitll its time to get in the humvee, the guy eating the chocolate bar, no idea!

Exactly. The worst lag of any game I've played (and I've played a lot of online games) if it is seen as the games main selling point as the SP is so short then IW need to get their fingers out and sort out MP connectivity and match-making on the PS3before they rest happily on that theory.

Local guy fits with the general persona that they are shirkers. Guy on his phone also fits as not everyone in the army is terribly keen on the fighting bit. Simples.
