Re: Anyone else bored of COD?

[ Edited ]

To be honest campers dont bother me anymore.  I dont play online unless with a group of friends and we all use emp in our support streak.  As soon as we see a predator missle, reaper, etc. one of us will use our emp.  We play a lot of headquarters so camping is part of the game but working together in a group makes it easy to stop people.

The thing that is really annoying me at the moment is the shotgun/akimbo setups.  They are just unstoppable in a one on one fight and it seems like everyone is doing it.  The range shotguns have at times is a joke.  People will complain at whatever setup you have.  I was called a noob the other day for using a mk14.  Why?  Its not like you can run around spraying bullets with it.  The geezer then messaged me saying he had reported me for using a modded controller and being under age.  Im nearly 29 and have no idea what he meant by modded controller.

Re: Anyone else bored of COD?

Odds are he thinks your trigger finger is perhaps a little too fast. Rapid Fire and No Recoil available on controllers? Doesn't exactly help everyone out and I'm pretty sure if you consider yourself a good player then it's not needed nor desired. Hell even ZzirGrizZ promotes modded controllers and in a few videos his Carbine seemed to fire faster than a button basher would be able to handle.

Some people will use them and it can be hard to prove. Personally the only 'modded' Controller I own is a Giotek one which I solely purchased from the now dying GAME due to the appearance of an X-Box 360 controller. Stopped using it however since I don't like the Front Bumpers which seem stiff. It has a rapid fire option on it which I don't use and upon testing realised that I fire 5x faster (atleast) than this modded function anyway so if anything I'd merely be handicapping myself.

Was tempted to start using it again recently since my PS3 controller Square button is a little iffy aswell as the R2 button (I use Default Alt settings in CoD). It can be a pain with shotguns when spamming and sometimes kicks in a little late or I find I have to snap the trigger down further than I normally would (I use L2 R2 extensions, bullet buttons which look nice but don't feel as such aswell as analogue extenders).

Overall the only modifications I agree with don't change any part of the game itself by making your Single Fire weapon an automatic, auto aiming at heads or reducing all recoil from guns. If you want no Recoil use an ACR or MP-7. Recoil is apart of the weapon balancing and too be honest is why certain weapons are not attractive to me.

Using these Extenders as I call them merely feel more comfortable to me and that's what gives me a slight edge. Not due to the controller changing the settings for weapons but because I don't feel too cramped when playing, especially when I spend my working day dealing with tubes and therefor constantly having my hand clawed around them.
