I call campers noobs because they hide round corners going for cheap kills in the back because they can't aim properly.

They dont bother me, I pretty much return to the exact place i died to try kill the person who killed me.

The game means nothing to me only killing the people who killed me.

Campers are usually noobs, because as the original post pointed out, they require people to follow certain paths within the game for them to get a kill, the slightest deviation to the right or left cuts off their shooting angle and lets you kill them.

As long as their is a sniper rifle in the game, people should be allowed camp.

campers are noobs. Sorry but if you camp in the same spot then you can't play the game. Simple as. If it wins you the game, then fair enough the other team need to look into another way of getting the camper, but most of the time a camper never gets good k/d ratio and doesn't do anything for the game or their team.

Would you call professional Snipers in the real world campers? they don't move days at a time waiting for a target..... really in the real world i doubt you'd see the SAS etc running around like headless chickens.... you run in the open or go into a room without expecting someone to be in there then you deserve to be killed by a camper imo

Good point trum, i'm also glad our SAS sniper teams don't spend their time trying to jump off rooftops and doing 360 degree spins and no-scopes to rock music. They would never hit anything and we would have the worst special forces in the world.

We would be world famous for our montages though.

Someone who sits in the same spot all game is a camper but if you move around and sit in a few select spots throughout the game, picking off a few people and then move again it's called being tactical, as for objective based games, it's the best thing to do and is simply tactics.

In estate for example, if your team takes control of the house on the hill then takes out anyone approaching then isn't that simply part of the game? Take control of the best spot on the map and hold it to give yourself and your team an advantage, it's tactics, I know it's a game and an arcadey style one at that but in real life people wouldn't run around like crazy, they'd camp in a few advantageous spots and pick off few people before possibly moving and adapting to the situation.

Why do people keep mentioning the real world? It's ridiculous.

 

It's a game, completely different to reality, in the real world you camp because there are no respawn's in real life.

Comparing real life sniping to a camper in CoD is retarded tbh.

A camper isn't really a sniper first off. It's someone who sits in a room with their gun (normally a RDS RPD) pointed at the one doorway in, waiting for someone to walk in so they can mow them down.

Also I expect people to be every room I enter, but is there really much you can do if the guy is pointing his gun at you before you probably even know he's there? In CoD 4 you could go into ninja mode as soon as you got hit or heared the gun fire, and maybe take them down, but it seems to be a little easier to kill people in MW2 so you're probably already dead before you know what hits you.

lol, of course it's not retarded, they try and make these games at times as close as realistic to warfare etc what with Socom and tactics and you don't get multiple spawns playing S'N'Destroy....  

You can carry flashbangs and work as a team room clearing.... it's about teamwork.... your getting nailed because you are a random and aren't employing tactics which the games allows you to use....

Why don't you try and use some real life tactics and beat a camper rather than bit*h**g about 'em all day long?

I'm sorry but Modern Warfare 2 is not trying to be realistic in the slightest its an arcade shooter with addictive fast paced gameplay.
