Dear Activision... you suck

[ Edited ]

im going to send to activision, but first id like some comments and so on and see what the general public think of their selfish idea.

for those of you that didnt know, activision are pricing MW2 at around £10 more then most games, so around £55 ish, what you are unlikly to know is that this is a a test, a test that will determine whether activision are going to do this to all their games prices. also the "prestige edition" is a further test to see exactly how much people will splash out. in short, the more money activision make out of MW2, the more their prices will increase. sound fair to all us loyal gamers?

now, let me put this into perspective. i activision feel their games are 10% better then the rest of their markets, thus the price raise, if they do this to ALL of their games, how long is it before more companies/game producers try to increase prices because their heads are securly locked in their ?

Now, for some people. this isnt a big problem, another £10 for a game that can last 2 years? no problem, personally im not that bothered, a £50 game once or twice a year is nothing to be honest. BUT should we be prepared to sit back and watch activision pi$$ up our gaming industry as we know it? because they r so self certain of themselves.

In short, the more sales of MW2, in the normal edition RRP £54.99, the steelbook edition RRP £69.99 and the prestige edition of a stupid £119.99 will effectivly shape the future for gaming. And because of the huge popularity of COD4 it is more then likely they pi$$y plan will work and thus ultimatly, make gaming tht lil bit more  expensive.

So how will this be avoided? how can we stop this greedy bunch of toss pots from spoiling the fun? well. to be frank we cant. activison are condeming gamers to higher prices, (DID I MENTION THIS IS A UK ONLY TEST, EVERY OTHER COUNTRY WILL HAVE NO PRICE CHANGES AFTER MW2)

possibilities are: A) Boycot the game upon opening release; No chance as millions accross all platforms are dying for this game. which is completly understandable, it is one of the biggest games of the year but should we b ripped off an ectra £10 per game for it? B) well there isnt a B to be perfectly honest other then to moan like mad and hope they have some decentcy.

as of june 4th 2008 COD4 had 10,000,000 sales world wide, so o average lets say the game was sold for £37,

thats £370,000,000. so they think, by adding no new graphics, a few new guns and perks, new vechiles and ermm thats about it they feel that they deserve an extra £100,000,000 at least (all approximate figures)

Activison = Selfish greedy bunch of  who need to give back to us the amount of  money we already give them.

I know what you mean. I read something about this. I won't be boycotting the game though. You can probably find it cheaper on the internet for £45 and i think as you gradually get nearer to the release date more offers will be coming in.

Hello reece, how it going?

I agree the UK thing seems a kick in the nuts, I would pay an extra £10 if they dedicated servers and tested the game efficiently. However we all know MW2 will have more holes in it than my grans knickers.

I don't see boycotting the game will have much effect, and I don't seem to remember them ever taking a blind bit of notice of us the customers when COD4 was released.

ill probably pay the extra for MW2 and will accept it as like you said its a grate game. And TBH IW are the best developers IMO

What will p1$$ me off is if I pay extra for a @rap game in the future!!

Re: Dear Activision...Your a bunch of T*ssers

that is not the point. If you go and get it on line then you will still be paying the same extra £10. Remember that if you live in the US then the basic game is £37 *****

Heyooo dude :smileyhappy: im good, shatterd, broke, and in need of a new game, but good :smileyvery-happy: yourself?

and true, MW2 is an essential, but as u said, r we going to want to pay £55 odd for some pile of $hite like spiderman 4 or somthing. one game is a pi$$ take but it can be taken on the chin, to raise every game and more then likly set a trend will just be the icing on the bun.
