I use the normal layout, however I did use to use an inverted y-axis when flying in Warhawk....not sure why but it just felt right when flying.
However, on Call Of Duty I recently started using the tactical layout and it's rather handy having R3 as crouch/prone! Got me out of many sticky situations!
I've thought about using the tactical setup, but don't you find it more awkward having to stab with circle?
I imagine I'd die loads of times running round a corner into somebody only to lie down instead of stabbing and then get shot on the floor!!
Would make a good 'game losing death' killcam I suppose! ![]()

Yup - I invert the Y as well.
I worked as a games tester and almost everyone in the office also thought it was weird. Think it comes from the days of playing flight sims with a joystick on my Atari ST.
Funny though, when i'm playing FPS on a pc with a mouse, I don't invert, so up is still up. When I use a pad, it has to be inverted though - I had to trade in Silent Hill: Homecoming because you couldn't invert the camera Y-Axis. Tried to play it for 2 weeks solid and my brain just couldn't 'get' it.
