Re: Future Custom Playlists?

I know we'll never get rid :smileysad: that's just a fact unfortunately. Cowardly statwhores will forever ruin shooting games. It's just the way it is.

Honestly, give it a rest will you. You've already been hounded off the Battlefield forums for doing this sort of thing.

If you don't like the camping in the game then sell it.

Re: Future Custom Playlists?

Ok camping can be annoying but thats if you allow it to get to you ! Some want to run and gun and help out in objective game types , but then some want to just hide and worry about K.D and stuff so they dont care about objectives ...... there only bothered about kills / killstreaks .

It really depends what type of player you are and the situation you are in ( ie playing alone or in a full party ) if am playing in a party then we all have headsets and use them with shout outs about campers in corners ( or in a bush or something ) this gives you a heads up and be on guard for them . If am on my own then my game play style slows slightly as i dont really care about K.d am all for the win so maybe if am near a killstreak or something to help team i will be first to hide round a corner and wait for few seconds to get kill / help team .

Camping can be a useful tactic as leggy pointed out it can be useful to cover flags and protect what you have , but then in a game type like kill confirmed you need to move to get tags if you camp you may get kills but you will still lose ...... loads of kills doesnt = loads of wins sometimes .

Cloud if a camper has killed you once and you go back 9 times out of 10 he will be in the opposite corner or somewhere waiting , if going back into that area just flash the area and move when there stunned and you have advantage , thats the only reall way to combat campers , they will always be in the game its like many things in life not everyone will do things the same as you , but then who says your way is right ...... or there way is wrong .

Ps i still hate campers though and will call you out in the lobby if you stay till end of game and you camped ....... isnt that true leggy :No-no:

At Wrathchield68. I have been hounded from no forum. I left there on my own accord and I'd watch my rhetoric if I were you because I'm free to post where I please.

In order to fix the camping problem you would need to change most of COD.........
Yes camping is a problem

Reason why it works so well COD designed it too , making it easy for bad players to do well. That part of the reason why people like COD it easy.
Maps play a massive role in how a shooter plays. Anybody who thinks that not true you not played enough shooters or fail to understand the design choices impact on gameplay.

Good players can change playstyle to suit what going on in the game. However COD is designed to allow only one playstyle.
I camp it would be stupid not to abuse the design but i also move around. It sad that COD has changed peoples views on camping vs older games keeping a line of sight is viewed as camping.

Sadly even if you did that gamemode cloud it would not be enough.

For once i agree with cloud.  Going back to COD4 it was the first game to allow camping.

Re: Future Custom Playlists?

Agree with you. Camping for killstreaks is bad enough. Though when it used to be 7 that was alright. With higher ones people always have something to aim for. By also encouraging stats etc such as KDR people also feel its somehow good to have a high one so spend their time camping in corners to fake the fact they're "beasts" and "highly skilled" when in actual fact it takes much more effort to run and gun and go 20-3 than it does to hide in a corner like a ***** and shoot people in the back as they walk past :smileyhappy:

Stats have ruined shooters.
Killstreak rewards also.

One feature I've found in BF which might help people so against campers in COD is the Killcam. In BF rather than show them killing you the camera follows them for 10 seconds or so so if is a "camper" you get to see if they are staying put or relocating 10 yards away. Because also you can choose to some degree where you spawn you can generally go straight back there and get them. I suppose its helped by the fact you can "spot" enemies so they stand out but generally dont find many "campers" in BF anyway due to size of maps and no kill streak rewards so the gameplay is more focused on goals and teamplay

Maybe COD could give people the option to have either "show me get killed" killcam or "watch the person who killed me for 5 seconds" killcam

SPLITTERS!!

Re: Future Custom Playlists?

I always watch right to the end of the killcam. You usually see their intention.

In BF3 when you get killed you see the view of someone lying on a rock, or sitting behind some geometry with the camera 1 meter away from them. They could literally be anywhere. It's not helpful at all unless they're beside something recognisable like a building or something. Usually it's a rock though.
