I was in a game last night. Everyone was flying about everywhere. Then some words appeared on the screen> I was totally confused so quite out and noticed my rank log has changed. Can I reset this?

I got into a challenge lobby earlier.. just by going to find match on free-for-all. I am now 10th 55, everything unlocked... now the annoying thing is that it always says [NEW] next to create a class now.. I don't have the proper running animation and it seems more laggy... so yeah... >.>

You may think that Sony and Activision don't give a #@# but they do...

oh yes, they are in panic mode trying to find a patch to stop the hack wave.

The consequences are EPIC

Both Sony and Activision have spent millions to build their brands and consumer preference.

Now they are at risk to lose billions of dollars in future sales. But it can get worse, it won't be long before investors catch wind of this and start selling out shares.

And one more thing, somebody is going to jail.

You don't mess with a giant corporation and get away with it.

I can't wait to see their flashy clan tags in the news!

It has happened to me also all my classes changed to "team trials" or someting, but now when i try to play multiplayer in "barracks" it recognises my correct level and score but fom then on everytime i go into multiplayer again i start from level 1 even tho i have prestiged 3 times....

this is a ***** joke needs to be sorted

No, it means COD4 was hacked 3 years ago. The recent PS3 hack has made it easier for idiots to hack games.

whats the latest on COD4 online? I've heard conflicting reports. a guy on my friends list said it's been clean for two days, whats your experiences?

What can you do when this happens?  Is it a temporary annoyance or is software downloaded onto the PS3 without your knowledge?

Its happened to me tonight for the first time and totally ruined my evening, the message I get in the box where you customise weapons is 'Patch by MaGiic' surely Sony can trace back to locate, isolate and hopefully take legal action against the sad loser who gets some sort of warped pleasure from ruining the game.  I've lost total control in the game, no weapons or random weapons, some shoot some don't, can't even quit the game.  Don't want to lose where I've got too but unless I get a solution, I suppose I will have to reset back to the factory defaults, but then I can't keep doing that, what if it happens again and again.

I would have thought Sony would have some form of 'firewall' but now I'm concerned about privacy or the apparent lack of on the PS3 I'm a bit worried.  Might give up network play all together unless they come up with something.

Try Deleting Game data, it may help. Also there are ways to add more security to a game. Such as what black ops has with patches that dont have to be DLed before you play and Save data locks
