Me and some friends have been playing MW2 over the past few weeks. Overall, it's one of my favourites in the CoD series, but wow, it has really been spoilt by the presence of hackers in pretty much every match these days. 

There's numerous hacked lobbys, aimbots, UAV hacks (which seems to be a popular one) and a couple of other weird ones where they can cause enemy players to lag, or levitate. Then loads of luminous writing sprawls across the screen.

I honestly didn't know the number of hackers on that game had got THAT bad! Whatever happened to fair gaming? It's incredibly off-putting. I dread to think what CoD4 must be like, haven't played that in a while.

Ive been playing COD4 & MW2 loads this past month - COD4 has been fine - a few hacked lobbies but I just back out & normally ok.

MW2 on the otherhand seems to be quite bad which is a shame - I would say out of 10 lobbies I enter at least 2 or 3 are hacked which does my head in.

They are just stupid modders that think there good (even though they dont understand the scripts they are running!!)

Yeah, it's a real shame that it's got to that state.

I think more of a 'enforcer presence' would be nice in that game to attempt to deter hackers, and by that, I mean people from SCE that can ban. Ruining the PSN experience/ experience of a game shouldn't be tolerated on PlayStation Network. Bans should be given to offenders, but that's just my opinion.

I've not actually come across too many hacked lobbies in MW2 and COD4, maybe less than 10. Sadly these are here to stay and best thing is to either look for a new lobby or try and survive with a massive disadvantage.

COD4 is fine for me still play it alot but MW2 is a complete mess thats why i sold it..soo many kids play MW2 cause its so noob friendly and it will never be unhacked as long as those sad little ***** that think its cool to hack are playing it

I play cod 4 on the xbox and it runs pretty smooth when you can find a game, On the other hand mw2 on the xbox is a complete mess and i wont be firing my copy on ps3 up anytime soon after reading some posts here.

I had a discussion last night with the only communicative activision person I could find. He simply didn't wanna know, I asked where I could rant to on Infinity Wards end & there simply isn't one. At least on Battlefield you can rant & they listen.

I know I had a read of that tweet thread, he really didn't seem to want to know at all, more that he was apparently aware of the issues but that nothing was going to be done about it. It's a shame that the support for MW2 seems to have disappeared, they must know that people still on all the old CoD games. Such a shame.

I am guessing the hackers would just find ways to bypass any fixes iw try implement on mw2 so the just left the game and have moved on to new projects.
