[MW3] June DLC

[ Edited ]

Erosion (Face Off)

Erosion

Make your way through Mediterranean ruins and ancient aqueducts, using leftover Roman masonry for thousand-year-old cover in this new "Face Off" map.

Aground (Face Off)

Aground

Head to Scotland's Orkney Islands for the latest "Face Off" map, where treacherous cliff faces, networks of caves and the rusted and ruined remains of a grounded transport ship provide for constant combat.

Getaway (Face Off)

Getaway

The first "Face Off" map in Modern Warfare® franchise history, what once was a tropical beach getaway boasting exotic aquariums and oversized pools is now a haven for ruthless run-and-gun violence.

Lookout (Face Off)

Lookout

Carved into a combat-weary mountainside, this new "Face Off" map pits you against your opposition in a forward observation base littered in chokepoints and tight corridors.

Oasis (Regular MP Map)

Oasis

Though once a picturesque escape for vacationers, the sprawling Hotel Oasis is now a Multiplayer paradise, with multiple lanes of combat built atop an ancient fortress.

Kill Switch (Spec Ops Mission)

Kill Switch

Armed with an Electromagnetic Pulse, your sniper team must neutralize a Russian carrier in this Special Ops Mission where only a bird’s eye view can keep your team in command as you breach the ship from underwater.

Iron Clad (Spec Ops Mission)

Iron Clad

With one player helming a tank and the other escorting it on foot, you’ll clear beaches and take cover in plane wreckage as you escape Hamburg from behind enemy lines in this all-new Special Ops Mission.

Coming to Elite Premium users in June, and non-premium also in June in Content Collection 2 (Also includes the MP maps Sanctuary & Foundation)

Erosion & Aground are free to everybody and not included in Content Collection 2.

Yup!

But PS3 users still have to wait at least 30 days for them (Activision/Microsoft contract covers all the DLC not just the paid for stuff)

Re: [MW3] June DLC

Seems the Face-off maps can be used in private matches using more than 4 players.

Not heard of face off until I saw this but I wish they'd bring the maps out for normal MP. Not interested in 1v1 maps and another set of DLC I won't be buying when it eventually comes (non elite user here). Shame because they sound like good settings for regular MP maps.

Have I missed something here? No idea what face off is, sounds like 1v1 maps or something? If so not interested and another set of DLC I won't be buying when it comes (non elite user here). Shame because they sound like good settings for regular MP maps.

New game mode on smaller maps, 1v1 & 2v2.

Can be played with more players than that but only in private matches (so no XP)

More info here

4 Face-off maps in total out next month, 2 free & 2 part of Content Collection 2.

While on the subjust of DLC - MW2's Terminal coming to MW3?

Thanks, just watched the video. The settings of the maps do look interesting but despite how they have IW dress it up and tell you how each map suits a different play style, they all play pretty much the same - regardless of pretty locations. I never moan about COD (like it has become so popular to do now), I bought all the MW2 and 3/4 Black Ops DLC packs, I'm just finally sick of being taken for a mug with these endless DLC Collections.

On another note while I'm ranting, does anyone actually want Spec Ops missions? I haven't even played the regular ones. To me it's just an excuse to make you think you're getting more for your money, when in reality all you're getting is a 2 minute mission you may or may not play the once.

I'll try the free maps, when they finally come, to make a more informed decision, but right now I'm just kinda bored with the whole marketing hype about how you're getting something new and exciting, when all they're really doing is coming up with new ways to sell you their overpriced add-ons.

Re: [MW3] June DLC

That link about Terminal coming to MW3 has been updated with some more info, remember IW have said all paid for DLC will be new content, so "if" it does get released it "should" be free.

Re: [MW3] June DLC

EVERYONE would welcome old maps coming back. Heres the thing though - i WOULD pay for old maps but at a cheap price, alos they could chuck in some for free. Such maps like Crash, Terminal and Strike were created by a genuis imo.
