Hey gang.

Posting this for 2 reasons, one of them is of course that there is a press release that needs posting which is going to serve as an advert for this weeks DLC, I'm not going to hide that.  But also because I think it would be great if we could have a bit of a chinwag regarding the new maps now that everyone will be up to speed with them should they want to purchase them.

Just so you know, the map pack will be out on the 19th of April, that's tomorrow.  The time will not be exactly midnight on the dot or before you go to school or work (if you do a 9 til 5 or an early shift).  Expect it to surface late morning.

To remind you of what all the DLC up to date entails, here is the promised press release:

Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® 3 Content Collection #1 will release on PSN on April 19, the first of four Content Collections available for purchase to all Call of Duty®: MW3 gamers. MW3 Collection #1 includes an unprecedented breadth and variety of content for Call of Duty® downloadable release – four brand new multiplayer maps Liberation, Piazza, Overwatch and Black Box along with new Special Ops Missions Black Ice and Negotiator, marking the first time Special Ops has been made downloadable online in franchise history.

In “Black Box,” players will battle beside a downed Air Force One amidst multi-level homes overlooking the luxurious Southern California neighbourhood. Infiltrating a diamond mine aboard a snowmobile in the Special Ops mission “Black Ice,” your primary objective is to plant high-grade explosives in order to shut the mine down forever. In “Negotiator,” you head to India for high-stakes hostage extraction in which you’ll breach-and-clear rooms and navigate surface streets to ensure the safety of your VIPs.

The DLC  will be released on Thursday 19th.

So that's 4 multiplayer maps and 2 spec ops missions, all out tomorrow for anyone who wants it.

I think like most i have played the new maps very limited amount due to the game modes for elite being very limited , Atleast the new maps also migrate into the game modes you want now these have been released ( well thats what i have been told )

Piazza and liberation thoughts :

Piazza ok map kind of like Favela from MW2 with tight corridors and close pathways on a hillside ...... not as many roofs to jump around on like favela though but i think its an ok map
Liberation : Think Wasteland X2 ITS HUGE with loads of bushes and underground bits and buildings with turrets shooting over larger areas , If your a sniper who likes to sit and wait ( wont call it camping as ita legitamate tactic with a sniper ..... u do it with a ACR and Assasin on your a CAMPER ) for the right shot and stuff you will love it if your more a run and gun player it will annoy you getting picked off form distance .
Overwatch : Its like highrise just bigger IMO , its a 3 level tower block thats still under construction there are loads of stairs and sections to climb onto ( cranes , contruction beams and the likes ) but again its pretty open and if your an objective player ( domination ) B is just crazy .
Blackbox : again another larger map but i think it has good light and is pretty clear to see people Yes you have a blown up airplane ( maybe one from spec ops ) but there are a few building around also and maybe it will flow pretty good when played in some game modes .

Please note these were just from Very limited time on new maps as i said i havent played them much as only played them for fun in PRVT lobbys with clan . MAybe so others who play them more regular could say what there like in different game modes ?

Piazza - Decent map Esp for rushers

Liberation - Terrible terrible map!!! Even one of the teams uniform/gear whatever you call it is the same colour as the bushes,so just picture how bad that is for camping.....Oh and for the biggest map in the game the spawns are HORRENDUS!!

Overwatch - Terrible map =,just a complete mess.

Black Box - Prob my most hated map of any COD ever!! pretty much 2 buildings facing each other with campers in both with maybe 2 rushers from each team dying over and over and over trying to get into the campers...and DOM on this map is quite possibly hell on earth...if you spawn on A flag your team is basically screwed.

Spec Ops Missions - They both last about 1min 30secs...one word,rushed.

Dont buy the DLC its really is bad.....Really really really bad.

for those buying the maps do not rush and if need be wait until you get home from work to download the maps you got all day to get the maps so just wait it out

IF YOU ARE AN ELITE SUBSCRIBER THEN YOU DO NOT NEED TO BUY "COLLECTION 1"
