Re: PS3 users mugged off again over COD DLC even with Elite

You have to wait a month AS YOU DO WITH EVERY COD over Xbox.

PS3 elite users still get it ahead of ps3 and Xbox non elite users.

Microsoft have an exclusivity deal with activision.
It's no different to EA's deal with Sony over Bf DLC

Re: PS3 users mugged off again over COD DLC even with Elite

i think the elite situation is a bit daft really, by the time non paid elite members get the dlc, paid elite xboxers will probably be on their second dlc pack (or maybe third).

I don't have a problem with microsoft having exclusivity on first dlc, but a month gap between xbox and ps3 is a joke in a  game that realistically has a lifespan of a year at best (in terms of high popularity at least, we all know that when november comes along a high percentage of mw3ers will move on to black ops 2 or whatever its called). the gap should be 2 weeks at most.

Re: PS3 users mugged off again over COD DLC even with Elite

I agree, why the need for a month gap? Microsoft must be paying them a fortune for the benefit and does it achieve anything other than annoy ps3 owners, I certainly wouldn't go and buy an Xbox just because of it though. Won't be long before they start releasing the game a month before on Xbox only!

Re: PS3 users mugged off again over COD DLC even with Elite

Personally speaking I dont give a toss over this exclusivity agreement.

I pay exactly the same amount of money for a premium elite service as the xbox community but they are getting preferential treatment. Sobasicly its a two tier premium service, which I will no longer be funding. I may get the next COD installment I may not, but if I do it wont be with e *****e rip off elite service with it.

Seventy percent of the stuff that you get with the current version of Elite you were able to see online with COD W@W. They had Heat maps, challenges and history of your last few games.

To be honest I feel its just a big con. they made 450 million in 5 days through sales. Surely their yearly budget does not exceed that? (I Seriously doubt it), suffice to say I wont be purchasing their pockets for their rip off "premium" service any more.

i am in the position where i could buy the game for xbox, but my xbox friends don't really play it and my ps3 friends do (i almost considered it the other day..... i saw the hardened editon on xbox for £59.99, but figured it would be a waste of money at the moment as i am gonna be offline from march until november).

[ Edited ]

A few of my friends have jumped to XBOX360 recently and harass me EVERY DAY about going on MW3/BF3 but i'm still not in a position of wanting to switch for multi plats . . . I just prefer the feel of PlayStation.

If Microsoft bring out their console ahead of Sony (like the 360) and my friends upgrade to it - then I will have pretty much no choice but to jump ship for everything other than exclusives.

Re: PS3 users mugged off again over COD DLC even with Elite

It's not really a massive deal though, is it??

This 1 month gap has been around for ages, it's still around now. Nothing has changed. All Elite premium membership gives you is a discount on the DLC, that was clear from the start.
