SIXAXIS/CLANZ MW3 Objectives Tourney, Winter '12

CLANZ and SIXAXIS Gaming will be running two linked MW3 tourneys, one competitive (based at www.sixaxisgaming.com.au) and one casual (based at www.clanz.com.au), starting mid July. The aim of these tournaments is to provide a good range of MW3 experiences, so rather than just playing a certain ruleset for the whole tournament, we’ll have specific modes, maps, rules and setups each round. Generally, the rules will have minimal restrictions, but there will be rounds that use hybrid Major League Gaming/Dercerto 4v4 rules & hybrid 5v5 MagicMod Search & Destroy rules. In addition to these if we have the numbers we'll have novelty rounds such as Shotguns or Snipers only.

Both tourneys will generally have the exact same maps, modes and rules, however, there will be differences between how strict the rules are adhered to between the tournament ran on Sixaxis Gaming & the Tournament ran on CLANZ (ie. 6A will require full team rosters which must be 100% adhered to whereas CLANZ will be more lenient).

SIXAXIS Gaming Tournament:
Do you run with a clan that develops strats for its games, likes to practice in advance of a clan war, and keen to see how you match up against the best MW3 clans out there – then the 6A tourney is for you, sign up here: http://sixaxisgaming.com.au/forums/showthread.php?46062-6A-CLANZ-MW3-6v6-Obj-Tourney-Registration).

CLANZ Tournament:
Looking for a more casual experience, where you and your mates get together once a week for an organised game of MW3 against some other guys in a similar situation, where you play to win (of course), but not at the expense of a few laughs, and no-one’s going to lose sleep if the result doesn’t go your way – then the CLANZ tourney is for you, sign up here: http://www.clanz.com.au/forums/topic/mw3-objectives-tourney-sign-up-thread/.

If you’re not sure which way to sign, we’ve got that covered - the tourney will have three stages – a set of ‘warm-up’ round-robin games (2-4 games, depending on sign-ups), where clans will be placed in pools and play off against each other. After this round, clans have the option of nominating to switch over to the other tourney if they think they’re in the wrong batch or if it's deemed they're unsuited to the tournament they're in. The warm-up games will then be used to seed the pools for the second stage of the round-robin (another 2-4 games), which will roll into a no-elimination finals round where every position in the tournament is fought for, so that every clan will get a game every round.

Sign ups will be open until Midnight, Tuesday 10th July, and all Australian and New Zealand CoD players are very much welcome - if you're not in a clan, but have some mates and this sounds like fun, then it could be the perfect time to try some clan gaming, either casually through CLANZ or a bit more competitively through SIXAXIS.  Just drop by SIXAXIS gaming or CLANZ, depending on which tourney you'd like to start off in, and get into it :smileyhappy:.
