hey
its not my intention to stir people up (although that can be a good thing sometimes) but moaning about mw2 has almost developed into its own sub-culture now! personally i love the game and also loved mw. true, mw2 has some down points as mw did but so has every game i've ever played.
for me its more an indication of how spoilt we are as a gaming community, particularly in recent years, that such a great game draws this amount of negative feedback.
the one criticism i would definitely agree with is that iw should be more proactive, especially when it comes to cheats and glitchers (ironically my biggest moan about the game is how players themselves wreck the experience for others and get away scot free every time).
dont get me wrong everyone should be free to express their views, good or bad. i for one HATE martyrdom! how did anyone think it was a good idea to include this in mw let alone put it in mw2 as well. but its up to iw and it in no way stops me from really loving the game.
also its funny, mw got slated in many ways but now mw2 is here and being slated even more i see quite a few gamers commenting on how it was better in the good old 'mw' days![]()
i think even as recently as five years ago we would all have been dribbling uncontrollably at the prospect of an online experience like mw2 but now it seems alot of people are intent on picking it apart rather than enjoying the positive aspects of the game.
feel free to disagree, thats what the forum is here for![]()

The one thing I dont understand, is why people moan about things that ARENT in MW2 but WERE in CoD4.
Last time I checked, the idea of making a new game of a series, is to progress the game FORWARD, and not include everything that the predecessor had.

I'm a rare breed in terms of loving martyrdom. It's essentially a free grenade for you. I love picking it up and lobbing it at someone, killing them.In MW there was so many grenades it was hard to tell, but in MW2 if I see the throw back sign I'll give it a shot.
my philosophy is 'each to their own'. that's an interesting take on the martyrdom thing, i hadnt thought of it that way before........... in fact............ i'm gona try that approach out! you never now, i might end up changing my mind and loving martyrdom. stranger things have happened!![]()

Only fanboys are capable of ignoring the huge gaping problems with this game.
I paid 50+euro for this game that is full of hosting and lag issues, before we even get to glitches or the game mechanics.. I deserve a right to complain, just like people have a right to complain in the heavy rain forum.
This game is broken in my opinion, and is one of the worst i have played online, and ive been playing online on the ps2 when you had to buy an adapter, and even before that on the pc.
Fine, try convince yourself its a great game, but its not, it could have been, even the hardcore fanboys only do private matches on it these days.. Its rubbish, and its not spoilt to say that, its a billion dollar game, i can expect a working decent experience.
The offline was irritating, and the online, well if you play with total strangers, its just not up to scratch.
Id go so far as to say, anyone who thinks this is above ordinary, knows nothing about gaming.
