IGN's hyperbolic preview is hilarious: "A brave different world". They say it'll be great because it's "an entirely believable and realistic vision of 2025".

So...in the next 13 years ....technology advances from tanks (which we've used for AGES) to big tanks with four legs that can walk!!!

I'm sure futuristic killstreaks will be no where near as overpowered as modern day...

The tanks are a lot different now that they were many years ago. Much more advanced. Black Ops 2 isn't the only game/film to think that by 2025 we would have these things. Look at MGS4. The plot was set in 2014 and it had "big tanks with 4 legs that can walk".

What about Ghost Recon Future Soldier? Set in the "near future", "Players will also be able to control drones. Some drones have already been confirmed, such as the Drone Crawler (a small remote controlled quadrotor which can land and drive around) and the War Hound (a heavy walking robot, similar to BigDog, which can be used as portable cover)."

The guy at the start is Frank Woods right? Didn't he die in the first Black Ops?

I hope it has a good single player campaign, although by the sound of the multiplayer I may be tempted to jump on that before attempting the campaign which is a first for me.

As long as they have kept the ability to dolphin dive I'll be happy. It's all I seem to do in the first Black Ops

Here http://callofduty.wikia.com/wiki/Frank_Woods it says he was born on March 20th 1930. It's 2025 in the game now so that would make him a whopping 95 years old!

This is the way I see the first month of Blops 2.

Week 1. WoW! This game is great and much better than MW3.
Week 2. OK, this game is good but not that good.
Week 3. OMG! The lag in this game is a joke. It's got loads of problems.
Week 4. I'm going back to MW3 it's a much better game.
